  1. Well I believe Sheets is pitching Tuesday assuming he's healthy. Yeah I figured that was the case. I am betting we get Gallardo too.
  2. So who de we catch for Milwaukee? I assume they set their rotation up to face us?
  3. It's not hard to understand why, really. The further entrenched he becomes in the starting lineup now, the longer he will stay there after he should have been removed. How many times have we seen this happen over the past few years? When/if he is starting everyday in July even though he is OPS'ing .600, you'll wish the plug had been pulled a lot earlier. Yep and then the caught stealings the few times he is getting on will really look good in front of our middle of the lineup. You know cause he has the green light.
  4. Ya think? We'd be on a 9 game winning streak right now if we could hit with RISP No I think we would be on that streak had Theriot not been playing. he has killed us with his glove, lack of hitting, and stealing. Wow your right: Thursday: GIDP with the bases loaded, botches a routine DP ball that results in the go ahead run scoring Friday: CS twice, including once at 3B where afterwards the circumstances led to the Cubs hitting a sac fly. Today: GIDP with the bases loaded in a situation to tie the game. He is killing us. Even when he is hitting at a passable level he is no more than a replacement level player. On top of that he doesn't even "play the game the right way" He just isn't very good. where are these 900 opsing replacement level shortstops and where can 25 teams in need of one find them? But Right, one would be foolish to assume he won't keep producing at that level and even when he stops he will stillmake dumb play after dumb play. so again, you're bashing him because he will be hurting the team in the future... good to get a head start i guess. How do you not understand that his caught stealings are hurting the team? He is giving away outs. On top of that he is doing it in front of Lee and Ramirez. And yes I am also trying to brace for the inevitable return to the norm that will happen. At which time he will kill the team because no one on the Cubs management staff wants to take the guy out.

Way better. so he's at fault for another guys baserunning wow tough crowd He is at fault for not being a very good baseball player.

Or his big error in Colorado?

  11. Having him batting in front of Lee is just genious.
  12. Good lord I hate Ryan Theriot. Thanks bum.
  13. Here comes the worst guy besides Lilly we could have up in this spot.
  14. I imagine a big part of that is being on teams as bad as the Nationals and Reds, yet never getting more than 300 abs to prove how bad he really is.
  15. he's the white kosuke fukudome, as i believe someone said yesterday. On offense. He doesn't do any of the other things in baseball nearly as well as Kosuke. yeah but he's WAY better at hurting himself True, I hadn't even thought of that.

  17. I don't get why pitchers who can't hit always go up to the plate hacking.
  18. Jesus, Lilly is the one we should be skipping.
  19. Isnt that a good thing?
