  1. Pretty awful. Also Martinez got the corner garza can't.
  2. I'm of course bias, but come on, that should have been a hit. I don't think Freese even had time to get his glove in the proper position before it hit him in the knee due to how hard it was struck. Plus we're the home team. Give your struggling guy the benefit of the doubt.
  3. Tennessee has made at least four outs on the bases tonight. Good lord guys.
  4. Ball two to carpenter looked a lot like strike one to Castro.
  5. 4 pitch walk, each pitch looked relatively close to the plate. Man if he gets the plate discipline thing down, watch out.
  6. Javy walks in ab number two.
  7. As in former NBA mega star Vince Carter? Dunk champion anyways. I think you have to win an NBA title to be a mega star.
  8. In his defense that probably should have been sappelt hitting.
  9. Has anyone seen the whitewall ninja in person yet?
  10. That just means Matt Adams is in. Question, who has a bigger rack? Matt Adams or the girl from IMBs photo back in the day?
  11. Pretty sure the Rangers were doing the same... or at least were said to be doing it on July 2nd. Rangers are indeed doing the same and the Rays did this last year. At the very least, those are two very good teams to be grouped with.
  12. That's where I am. I hope I am wrong, but I just don't think he will ever be an everyday guy. I thought he would at the least mash some homers, now I am not sure about that.
  13. He's 24 and put up a 3.2 win season in the major leagues at age 23. So I guess he was last year. How much of that was defense? How much of that was the first trip through the league? He was awful once teams faced him a second time and still hasn't adjusted. Also he wasn't much in the minors besides the one huge year at the launching pad in NWA. A lot of it was defense. And yeah, he's been pretty bad this year. But I still think it's extreme to say that he isn't and will never be a big leaguer after the year he had last year at 23 years old. It's more frustration in me talking, they're obviously my second favorite team.

  15. Moustakas sucks. He's not a big leaguer, never will be. Just don't tell my five year old that, she loves him.
  16. That's gonna be a hell of a staff SCS is putting together.
  17. Because it's in Citi Field. That's really dumb, he has 13 HR this year and has never really been a premier power guy. But I guess I get it.... He was a 30 HR guy before Citi Field opened (or at least that's what I hear people say when talking about the Mets, which is never anymore). And they're trying to avoid having what happened to Billy Butler here last year happen again.
  18. Corey Patterson was never a great player. He had one very good half in 03 and after that, he went from good to flat out brutal. He was a 3-win player in 2004 and a 4-win player in 2006. Yes. I said he was a fairly good player but great? No. Not even close. And I was a big CP fan. But, Tim was talking about right after '03. At that point he just had that very good half season, was still very young, and was still very hyped. It makes sense to include him like he did.
  19. So it's not at all a comparable situation? Even better in 1990 before he started winning titles at Duke Coach K was offered the Celtics job and turned it down. Lol indeed. so what? one guy was very happy in his situation and stayed at his university. the other decided to go for a new challenge and go to the nba. you're acting like one was right and one was wrong. Sorry, not meaning to act like he's wrong. That's not my intent. I just don't understand the move, I thought he was really happy at Butler.
  20. He totally could have had the Illinois job. They can win right away at least. Wait. Lol, I always thought he'd get the Indiana job at some point. Maybe he still will.
