  1. ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuu I love Javy Baez. He's going to be exciting as [expletive] to watch at Wrigley.
  2. i think he's been skipping leg day I bet those shorts would be pants on some of us. Yet they look so damn small.
  3. That's one season, though. Not his whole career. I know, I still think if he constantly got pitches down the middle he hits at a higher rate than that. Maybe not though.
  4. Also, his grand slam in the NLCS and his 8th inning grand slam in 2008 off the Phillies when the Cubs were down 2. The NLCS grand slam was the moment I actually thought we were going to see the Cubs in a World Series.
  5. I always hated that thing. He hit .400 one whole season. Thus, shouldn't he have some balls with an average well above that?
  6. I hope so, the last era was awesome. I want 100 bombs in a year.
  7. Everyone agrees these guys cheated better, but they have always been cheating, don't punish the guys for being born in a smarter era.
  8. As long as you don't include what happened throughout the 20s and into the early 30s Or in the late 60s when apparently the pitchers were all roided up. There is a reason the most recent era is called the steroid era Because ESPN sucks?
  9. Tell that to Bonds who only became once in a generation after he took them. PED's made multiple once in a generation players (Bonds, Sosa, ARod). None of those guys would have been that good without them. Holy smokes are you comically wrong about this. No he's not. All of those guys would have been really good players but none of them, especially Bonds and his comically ridiculous seasons, would have put up anywhere near the numbers they did. I mean seriously, go look at the post in another thread talking about Rich Aurilia hitting 37 HRs and the top 9 guys in the MVP voting averaging 49 HRs. Bonds would be in the HoF whether he took steroids or not. He was already the best player in baseball. I'm sure war will prove me wrong on this, but I always thought Griffey was better than bonds as a player. As a hitter it was bonds.
  10. We have the physical evidence on Bonds, not Aaron. I give people the benefit of the doubt. Same for Pujols. You have no "physical evidence" because nobody was looking and testing, yet you've had people in the game talk about how PED usage goes back decades. Goes back to Hall of Famer Pud Gavin in 1889, FWIW.
  11. I don't think so. The '03 test wasn't supposed to count against the players who volunteered for it. Wasn't that his only real link before this?
  12. I don't get the leagues grounds for this. This is because his name is on a list?
  13. Holy crap, I want in on this. I'd offer to carpool, but I'm passing through (going to Fort Dodge, IA) for work. It's too hard for me to carpool with two kids in boosters anyways. lol.
  14. Holy crap, I want in on this.
  15. Did Olt bang your girlfriend/wife? I get being sour on him, but yeesh lol.
  16. Good, we need to do what we can to keep Tampa and St. Louis competitive.....
  17. That goes as a hit, yet last night Castro didn't get one. Our official score guy sucks. It should go as a hit but the run should be unearned on an error for not picking the damn ball up. Ok, that I can get on board with. Just don't punish Wood for that.

  19. Eh. I'd buy that argument if we found a horseshoe once in a while, but we never do. It probably has to do with the Cardinals being a far superior organization to our Cubs. Theo and Jed are here to change that. So you think they're coaching clutch? No but they do have far better player developmentover over the years. Sprinkle in a Holliday here and a Beltran there and you get the idea. Oh yeah they're better ran, but they're getting very lucky this year to have those numbers.

  21. Why? It was a ground ball right at him that he didn't make a play on. That's a pretty easy E5 call. It was smoked and hit him so hard it bounced into left center field. It was glove side, but that's a really tough play.
  22. We should have had two walks that inning, thanks blue.
