  1. Really? It should be pretty obvious why at this point. Davis going from all Big Ten level to a guy should be watching from the bench is the big reason. Something has to be going on there.
  2. Something has to be going on with Davis. One doesn't regress that much as a 20 year old.
  3. Why is NBA 08 sponsoring things? They are very proud of that years version? Doesn't say much for the newer ones I guess.
  4. Heard this on the radio. In his career Aldrich has fouled out one time. For a guy who is always trying to block shots that's a very low number. Collins has never fouled out of a game. For two very good defenders that is pretty much impossible to have happen. FWLIW They are good defenders. That's a big part of why they don't foul out. They position themselves well and understand the game. Also, they're usually on deep enough teams where, if they are racking up the fouls, they can sit for an extended amount of time. Most teams can't sit a star player. Kansas usually has the talent to have someone step in. Missouri bumps, hand checks, slaps, reaches in, and hacks ALL THE TIME. I'd say most pressing teams do. Refs, for whatever reason, just don't call every foul on them. There were a couple of plays in the first half where X got obliterated with no foul called. Against ISU, I thought KU did get away with some fouls. And I'm sure, overall, KU gets more calls then most teams, especially in AFH. But we plain rolled Mizzou last night, and it had nothing to do with calls. ETA: We had two more team fouls last night. At home. Against a team that bricked jumpers all night long. Agreed, Earl Hebner head WWE referee wouldn't have been able to keep Mizzou in that game.

  6. Ames High school team wins this game.
  7. Don't worry we are coming to town this week. You'll get your first win.
  8. This. The guy has done nothing without Dee. Also I can't wait for Guenther to retire. To go a bit further on the A.D. stats In the 3.5 years since Dee & Co. left.... Overall W-L: 75-49 60.5% (far from the merrymen "he wins 80% of his games" mantra) Conference W-L: 29-30 49.2% NCAA tourney record: 0-2 0% (with 2? missed tournaments) He currently has the worst 3-season W-L % since the late Henson years, and after this season, will have the most losses in a 3-year span since Bartow.
  9. Yeah you are right, so if he has been so awful all year why are we at game 20 and Tyler Griffey is still only playing about 2 minutes worth of game time while Davis is pooping himself. Why are we setting talented freshmen behind Jeff Jordan? Weber is doing an awful job again this year. Last year he did a great job, but it's been sandwiched with two terrible ones.
  10. WOST. SCENARIO. EVER. My friend is an Alabama football fan and a yankees fan. I swear I'll kill him if UK wins it. They won't even make the final 4. Yeah they will. They have to, so when Cal leaves they have one to vacate.
  11. That and we need to quit playing D2 level players like Bill Cole and Jeff Jordan who bring nothing to the table. Absolutely agree on Jordan. He adds nothing positive. I don't feel your Weber hate (yet), but I am sick of seeing Jordan on the floor, taking minutes from Paul/Richardson. Conversely, I'd like to see more of Tyler Griffey. Maybe I'm crazy. But there is a lot wrong here. The defense stinks. Mike Davis has gone from being Mr. Double-Double to being the invisible man. The Illini don't have a real floor general out there. Very little post presence. No I agree time to see what Griffey can do. Since Dee left campus we are 29-30 in conference games. That's only gonna get worse this year. Weber's a clown.
  12. If he survives this year basically RG is admitting he doesn't care about the level of play at his school. This has been a flaw Weber has had with his offense since Deron Williams left. Unless you can recruit an elite level point guard, you can't win with this offense.
  13. That and we need to quit playing D2 level players like Bill Cole and Jeff Jordan who bring nothing to the table.
  14. Losing to Northwestern. We've come along ways in the Weber era. We might only win two more games this year.
  15. They clearly crushed DJ on a 3 too and it wasn't called. Be consistant.
  16. Hoooly [expletive]. That is ridiculous. I'd like to be able to do that one time. That's just craziness, point guards don't do that.
  17. Best game we've played since Temple. It was against a depleted ISU, admittedly. But Hilton is a tough place to play, and they gave UT a very rough game, so I don't think I was freaking out over nothing. Marcus Morris is looking better and better. Aldrich looked like himself again, and it was against a pretty decent frontline. Taylor also played better. Just need X to recapture the magic. Should be a tough game vs Mizzou on Monday, but I think we'll win going away. Saturday vs KSU will be bananas. Only positive for ISU today: Other than that this team is awful. How in the hell does ISU have two guys as talented as Gilstrap and and Brackins yet suck so badly, oh yeah they have no guards at all.
  18. Rep. I'll be the first to say that the Big East is down this year (which a lot of people projected before the season). Maybe I'm a homer, but with KU, UT and KSU as the tier one teams in the big 12, and Baylor, Mizzou, and OK St/A&M as the tier two, I'd say the Big 12 is the toughest. Kenpom says it's the ACC, though. I don't buy KSU as a tier 1 team. Beating UT at home is nice, but UT is about to lose another road game, and as I type this KSU is about to lose to OSU at home and they've already lost to Mizzou on the road. Me either. KState is improved for sure, but still not at the level of a top tier team.
  19. And Kansas crushed Iowa State. Snood was freaking out over nothing.
  20. You really that sold on Ray Felton? I think I would rather have Mo Williams than him, but i haven't seen as much of him this year since I didn't get the League Pass. He has a better per than Raymond.
  21. If not, I really need to hurt mine.
  22. I hear ya. I've heard you got a nice stadium over there in KC, right? That's something to appreciate . . . right?? :old_alright: Yeah, it's pretty nice. No Wrigley though.
  23. Me either, he's loyal to a fault. His high school firends are still all around him, one's his agent. He got another one a job with Calipari. I think he stays.
  24. Neither of those things are contagious, and losing that frequently, for that long amount of time, puts a serious dent in any "they have more talent" claim. No it doesn't. So Devin Harris isn't considered a talent? Brook Lopez? Chris Douglas-Roberts? Yi? The Nets lopsing is a combination of injuries, the players not executing, and the coaching absolutely reeking. Even if the Nets finished with 10-15 wins, that doesn't mean they are lacking talent. You want to see a team lacking talent, lack at the immediate post-Jordan Bulls teams. Devin Harris and Brook Lopez are good. The rest of those guys you mentioned aren't all that much to get excited about. I guess Yi is still young, but Its hard to get too fired up for a 7 footer who shuts sub 43% from the field and averages about 6 boards a game.
