  1. When is the last time the best team didn't win the title? Beisdes the obvious in '05  2006 I guess (Florida was a 3 seed). 3 years before that, Syracuse, another 3 seed, won. The best team wins more often than I'm granting the system, but it won't happen as much now, I'll bet. Syracuse had by far the best player though. Florida's first year there wasn't a true stud team. Both the two big boys from '05 lost everyone. I still think the best team wins it most of the time.
  2. I cannot imagine what the Iowa/Illinois games would have been like if Pearl had been hired. Of course it was never going to happen but... Like the Eric Gordon game every year. For those of us in school at the time, our passion for hating Pearl far exceeds the whole Eric Gordon thing. That's what I've heard. Makes sense Peral could have cost us a National Title. Gordon just cost us a year of being decent and a shot at numerous other talented players we were in on but stopped recruiting due to him being "committed".

  4. This kinda reminds me of how Hendry took a 98 win team and chagned it all up resulting in an 84 win team. If it isn't broke, why the hell are they trying to fix it? Maybe the NCAA should be doing it's job and deciding on what to do with USC football and what Coach Cal is doing. What a joke.

  6. It's certainly defendable but I think I'm fouling in that situation with a 5 second differential. When the Morris brother had the ball you have to foul. He was 0-4.
  7. There were two foul calls against KSU that were flat out not fouls. Taylor and COllins on both of their drives weren't touched. That coupled with a free throw violation that wasn't makes me wonder if the refs thought they were in the Phog.
  8. At some point someone in the NCAA has to do something in the way of punishing him. Cause lord knows Cal won't. Might get in the way of a vacated Final Four.
  9. Weber should thank god for him everyday. Without him we have about 3 wins this year.
  10. Of course he makes both of those.
  11. Yep. I loved seeing the fat kid who was so irrelevant I can't remember his name jumping up and down.
  12. Its for boob cancer.
  13. Can't take em home with you Ryan.
  14. Illinois will win easily. No we won't this is the Bruce Weber era.
  15. Tied with IU at the half. At home. Unreal.
  16. Kurt Warner was awesome.
  17. Is this a typo, or did he actually switch to pitching?
  18. Rose clearly belongs, but I think Hortford is the one who prolly shouldn't have gone. They should be there. Iverson is what screws it all up.
  19. More importantly Deron and Rajon are in. About time. The fact that Williams has been an Olympian and not played in the AllStar game is pretty amazing.
  20. You're seriously the last remaining person who thinks Randolph is a good player. Including his relatives. I'm pretty sure his relatives still think he can play. You have to admit he's legitimized the Grizzlies this season. They basically brought back the same players from a 24 win team plus him. As of right now they're 25-19 and Randolphs putting up 21 and 12 while shooting 50% from the field. He's playing really really good. You owe him an apology. I would like to give him one, but still know deep down he's still the cancer that will hurt that team when it matters. It's what he's always done.
  21. Better win that one or you can just pay me now.

  23. I'm late to the party here, but do you remember the term they used to use when the Bulls would pressure the other team full court? Unleashing the dobermans. Could Toni Kukoc play defense? Not a chance. I think even bigger than the loss of rebounding was the loss of the ability those teams with Grant had to play pressure defense and just shut people down because they were so athletic at the 2, 3, and 4 spots. Plus, he was the toughness down low on that team. Cartwright, Perdue, Longley, Wennington, Stacey King, and whoever else they sent out there just didn't bring the same energy or toughness as Grant. And regardless of your argument, Jordan was not the same guy while he was wearing 45 as he was when he came back after having an off season to get ready for the 95-96 season. That wasn't why they lost, but he wasn't his old self until the next season. Yeah pretty much anyone who isn't a Rocket fan knows they need an * next to their titles. Good for them though, someone had to win it while Michael was suspen..retired.
  24. Did anyone else notice when at 1:24 a whole series happened without any time going off of the clock? That was impressive.
