    Pawelek gave up 0 ER in 63 IP while striking out 132. Even for fun, I just can't get excited by high school stats anymore. Why did Pawelek bust? Wasn't his stuff nasty? Just bad control or? Never came back from the dust up with a PS3 Wasn't that in like 06? PS2 and weren't their rumors he was hammered when it happened?

    Yeah like the other day I saw this guy come up in the 9th with 2 on in a tie game and he crushed a HR. Dammit what was that dudes name again...? Still waiting for it to happen when we're behind. If he doesn't hit a five run homer this year I'm done with him.

    He's ranked about 70 spots below JCL. who isn't a pg. LoVett's ranked low because of his academic standing and lack of interest due to that, or because he's relatively unknown. Illinois only got JCL because Michigan backed off for whatever reason. With no personal issue red flags to speak of, one can only assume that they thought he wasn't that good. Illinois never gets kids that they have to go up against high majors for, except maybe Wisconsin, and only then because the kids grow up loving their state. The good news is that we have Jordan and Williams and Paul coming in next year. Wait, that's the bad news. Don't know what the good news is, maybe we won't finish last. While I agree with you, other schools make mistakes. We only got Deron Williams because UNC got Felton and Georgia Tech got Jarret Jack. That worked out ok for us. Also if you watched the Jordan game, JCL played well against top competition.

    I think you've said that about every illini recruit the last six years. I doubt it, we haven't recruited for crap since the Richmond and Leonard class. Good players, but nothing elite.

    He and/or his family took a loan from an agent. EDIT: Probably. Hasn't been confirmed. But the investigation is regarding a loan coming from an agent. I've read it was his mom.
