    There's a fangraphs article somewhere that shows he basically started completely selling out for power after leaving the Cubs, for good(HR) and bad(huge jump in Ks, drop in AVG). Yeah, I think I read that article. I don't think he's cheating, just surprised more guys don't go that route.

    wtf The Cubs offense has been really hot in August. Our cushion in the 2nd wildcard spot was really pushed by the cubs hitting very well. Maybe they could be the 1927 yankees in 2016 or 2017? not 2015. Bottom line is the cubs pitching isn't nearly as capable as the top competitors, ie the cardinals. who gives a [expletive] about any other team your chasing besides the best team, the top competitor. thats who you have to beat to go deep in the playoffs. I think you're insane, get in and we have a punchers chance against anyone. That's really more than you can ask for in the baseball format.

    He's been brutal at the plate for over a month, but I'm not really worried about him. Maybe I should be more, but everything says he's been unlucky.

    I like how we are positioned for the next five to ten years. I also thnk Bryant makes a Rizzo like jump soon. Possibly this year. I dislike we did not make a bigger splash at the deadline. I like watching the cubs again.
