Two previous stops and Cal cheated like hell, now he's at the biggest dirty school. You bury your head in the sand if you want. Cheating according to the NCAA principles of sham amateurism, yes. Doing stuff that would get most schools blasted back to the stone age, yes.

The sun times ran a story about how he was bought. They had three other college coaches as sources. His family threatened a law suit, Kentucky told them to shut up. Still waiting on that law suit. But, yeah you're prolly right, his recruitment was on the up and up.

Juan Pierre-12 seasons, 6823 AB's, 16 HR Starlin Castro-2 seasons, 1137 AB's, 13 HR Castro has substantially more power and also plays SS which is more valuable then CF. Those two aren't a great comparison. Neither is Matt Szczur, but Law keeps making it. -

This is from Rotoworld. If it was just a rumor or speculation that doesn't happen, that would be one thing, but the fact that the Rockies actually asked for DeWitt in exchange for Stewart would make it inexcuseable not to make it happen. The possitive of this deal outweighs the negative by quite a bit. It's not like they're asking for Matt Szczur, Josh Vitters, or even LeMahieu here. They're asking for a spare part in exchange for a 26 year old one time top 5 prospect. When was Stewart a top 5 prospect? Do you mean for the Rockies? -

Pretty nice win last night. Sam is not a point at all, hopefully Tracy develops quick. Oh yeah, feed Miles Leonardson the ball please.

We fired the wrong coach. Zook left the program in a way better spot than what he inherited and while he needed to go, he shouldn't have been the first one gone from our coaching ranks. I don't know why you'd be disappointed about it. The team this year should've won 9 games after the 6-0 start. They lucked into 8 games, a weak Big Ten and had all of their tough opponents at home. I know, I just know we haven't been a great football school in 30 plus years. In basketball we have been. Plus basketball is king in Illinois high school sports so it's a lot easier to get good quick in that here. Obviously, he left Illinois in a much better situation than what he inherited but he inherited one of the worst BCS programs in the land. I don't think Illinois was paying Zook to win 5-6 games a year.

He was in the game, I wouldn't call it playing though. Crandall Head didn't play the entire time in Mexico. Nor Mychael Henry. I really hope Henry redshirts if he's not gonna play at all this year.

they aren't even allowed to dribble the ball, it's all passing and moving without the ball like some ivy league team. i've finally seen enough, get a coach who runs an offense that will take advantage of talent rather than force the talent to play in a system that renders it faceless and impotent. Bruce Weber is amazing. All the stars are aligning. I heart Bruce Weber.

And I hope he REALLY likes the CU area. 7 rooters with 40 inch verticals don't stay in school 3 years, unless the NBA is still locked out he's gone, IMO.
