He's right tho. Sosa is only early 30s. Woods gonna bounce back from TJS. In the minors they have Prior, Zambrano, Guzman, Cruz. Plus hitting prospect Corey Patterson who BA has as the number three guy in all of baseball. And Bobby Hill who has a great OBP. This window isn't closing anytime soon.... -
Jake he was a reliever we had for one more year. Getting any kind of value back for him is a win. Why is that so hard to figure out? Marshall is more valuable to a good team, we aren't a good team. Wood will be in our rotation, this makes us better. Plus we got two lottery tickets. One of which had a great year as an eighteen year old in the Midwest league.

We gave up a reliever and got back a possible 3 and two prospects. Yeah we won this trade. Maybe the Pirates should have done more of this and less giving away Arams and Jason Bays for nothing.

At two years, I don't think the NTC is a big deal. It's a pretty solid move, provided Carlos doesn't fall apart as he is prone to do. He wont, his hitting coach has some stuff. -
I thought in 04 we dealt for Lee around Xmas. Maybe it was before Xmas week.

Well, Leonard came to play, and Richardson/Paul came to play in the last three minutes. That's the only reason they pulled it out at the end. Same team next year minus Meyers. This is purgatory.

What is going on in Champaign? Is there a real anti-Weber movement developing? Are you in the minority in the fan-base? No there is a lot of heat now from what I hear from family that lives there.

I didn't hear any, but I was up in the 300 level. The booing was noticable for most of the 2nd half. I hope the AD was paying attention.

Was this a joke I missed along the way?? Was at the game today, totally brutal. Terrible shot selection, terrible finishing around the rim, beat to lose balls, dribbling at the top of the key, typical BS, etc. Definite boo-ing going on at the end of the game, not sure about firing chants or whatever. Today is certainly the last time I shell out $$ for this team at the UC, the crowd was awful, only 14,000 or so on hand and you could hear Weber's every girly yelp. Lol, no a brain cramp. Jabari. Lol. Ahh, OK. Anthony Parker, my HS classmate. Well I hope he didn't have to watch that crap either.

I'd make a hard push for Anthony Grant. I realize doing so costs us Jerrance, but I'd still do it. I don't want Mike Thomas anywhere near a basketball hire. Weber's not getting fired this year, its just not happening. However, I think Illinois is better than any Big Ten job except Indiana or MSU, especially with the renovated arena on the way. Every year he remains is another year we crawl further into mediocrity.
