the only coach i can remember ever leaving for a job within the same conference is tubby smith. if we get him first, there's no way he leaves for wisconsin. it's not nearly as good of a job as illinois, anyway. I'm not so certain that is the case anymore. Great city, rabid fan base, newer arena, sustained success. They are close enough to Chicago where a guy like Shaka could recruit it, and they also have a strong presence in the Twin Cities. I still think Illinois is the better job, but the chasm is not as wide as you think. Assembly Hall needs a facelift, Ubben is beginning to look obsolete, and Champaign is not exactly a destination. You are crazy, it's a far better job. All the talking heads have called it a top ten job.
