Or you hire Stevens and he follows in Lickliter's footsteps. lickliter continued recruiting mid-major players after he went to iowa, i doubt stevens does the same. He damn near had Zeller at Butler. He can't be worse than Weber was and Jerrance managed to get him a 5 star and a ton of 4 stars. Just keep Jerrance and the recruiting will be fine.

Agreed. I still marvel at the job Knight did in 1989. Illinois was ridiculous that year; so was Michigan. Both clearly, obviously had better rosters than IU (one won the title, another made the Final Four). Iowa was loaded that year as well. Preseason number one I think. Knight killed it.

Probably learned it from Kansas. Oh come on, they were voted on as champs years after the season happened. Those should count. :roll: The Helms committee is so dumb. I get schools like Purdue and even Illinois embracing them. It's all we got. But Kansas has real championships, why the need to claim fake ones? Except we don't embrace it. It's a recruiting tool you dumbasses. Who cares if the fans of schools who've never won anything get all indignant over it? I'm saying you don't need it, your history speaks for itself without adding it. Dumbass.

Jerrance has been promoted and stated he wants badly to stay at Illinois. I know, I'm just passing along his tweet. He claims that one of the Kentucky assistants is leaving for a head coaching job at Duquesne (sp?). I guess Gary doesn't get with coaches we all are allowed to pay.

Man does the Big Ten have this happen more than most conferences, or is it just I follow the Big Ten more? It seems to be happening a lot more recently. Purdue has a women's BB player and Robert Marve our starting QB coming back for sixth years next year. Hummel seemed like he was around for 6 years, but that was only 5. Jess Settles was at iowa for at least 15 years.

I think it's Chris Paul. Chris Paul is awesome, I dont know how anybody can say differently. Blake is so limited that I cant consider him a truly great player; numbers aside. You cant go to Blake in a big situation because he has like two moves and no real face up game. Against a good defensive front hes useless. He also is a bad defender and has a jerk face. Lol, I know Paul's really good. But I don't get why he hasn't taken the Clippers to the next level. What are they missing? He should be good enough to make them the type of team that can win a title.
