No, but you cant cry about how bad you are every year since. Which you have sans Collins senior year. Each year you've been a top 4 seed. Suck it up and be a blue blood fan. Spoiler alert. Next year you're gonna look awful at the beginning of the year. You'll lose Robinson, Taylor, and probably Withey. But, you add talent. By the end of the year you're gonna be pretty good again. Are you gonna spend all next year talking about how bad you are? Or are you gonna actually enjoy the ride? And you can't compare that to Illinois fans, our ride has been driving the bus into a train. were you murdering a kitten while you typed that out? Nope, it's the turth. I can handle saying it. You're always gonna be good as long as Self is there. It does help that in the last 3 years though you've played one single digit seed in the tournament. Us last year. Must be nice.

We don't need the CPL to be successful. They expect undivided loyalty from Illinois but [expletive] us at every turn. Focus on downstate, Peoria, the suburbs and the Catholic league, and outside of Simeon let the rest of the CPL rot in their own filth. Lol, we need the CPL. Or we need to start recruiting outside of the state. I agree go out of state, but I'm sick of the CPL getting all butt hurt over kids like Pat Beverly. They piss me off. Yes we should have tried to take some Illinois kids instead of Fraziers and Semraus, but you need to give us a Rose or Collins once in a while then. It can't be both ways.

Smith can't get Parker for us, from what I understand he promised he'd bring Parker with him. If he does that's an NCAA violation. Gee Robert, I wonder why you aren't a serious candidate.

Right just like I always bitched during the MJ bulls era, oh wait I enjoyed the ride. Cause bitching about every little thing when your team is great is ridiculous. C'mon dude. These threads were a [expletive] of bitching during Illinois games even when they were good. Don't pretend like you were some reasonable, balanced fan w perspective then. I think it's still different. Illinois doesn't have national titles, you have 3. Again it's like the Bulls I watch their playoff runs differently since they've won titles.

They beat three double digit seeds including an absolute meltdown by Purdue and something close to that by NC St. They find a way to win though.

I don't doubt we've contacted him, I am sure he is gonna say we haven't. Just like Self did before he left us. That said, he ain't coming.

I'm not saying he's a bad coach. He's obviously been very good. It's just his style might rub Illini fans the wrong way. I think the consensus amongst you guys on this board is that you hate that style. I hate that style while we are losing every other game in the Big Ten. If we win I'll begin to love it.

Or you hire Stevens and he follows in Lickliter's footsteps. lickliter continued recruiting mid-major players after he went to iowa, i doubt stevens does the same. And the guys who were actually decent all wanted to leave as fast as possible. Maybe because he was a reaging DBag that forced his son on them? Luckily Stevens is too young for that to be a problem yet.
