    The Giants apparently hate Brandon Belt for some unknown reason, so we'll take him for Marmol and flip him to some team for a nice SP prospect. Sounds good. Can't he play outfield?

    Yep, RS-Sophomore. 3 years of eligibility. Does anyone have any idea which way he's leaning? Or is this kind of he just wanted out of Wisconsin, now he has to decide where he wants to go time?

    Which I'm all for, keeping Baez at short, until he has to be moved. I'm just glad we were bad enough last year to get a higher pick as opposed to winning a few more meaningless games and dropping several more spots.

    Go away Rayvonte he's probably better than sal mineo or whatever that guy's name was. Maniscalco? Sam was a "PG", Rice is a wing. Two different types of player. We have a grip of four star wings, but a shortage of point guards. Rice would be kind of redundant. He doesn't understand any of what you've just said. He just had a witty joke he had to get out there. It's funny because all Illinois fans talked about how great Sammy Ice was. Literally it's all we did.

    Theo told the team that the Cubs Way was to play like every series was the playoffs. He didn't think that one through. I doubt this is true, we've already won several games. 3. The Cubs have won 3 games. I fully expected with this roster to have clinched by now.

    Yes, he could do that with Iowa as well. Actually, isn't that what Recker did at Iowa? Or did he transfer to ASU then wound up at Iowa paying his own way? I know there was something screwy with his transfer. Went to Arizona, then because of his car wreck was allowed to leave and go to Iowa with no penalty.

    (that is, I'm not sure it was known that we would make such a jump in draft spending last year compared to before). Oh gotcha. Yeah that is probably true. Although I would assume Ricketts was letting his guys know, I hope.
