  1. If all goes according to plan, in a few years time we'll be able to mock your team again. We don't have anyone near the upside of Taillon and Cole. I think you should hold off on predicting this.
  2. He's a very nice guy, but good lord he is bad at talking about baseball.
  3. I was. I love Len. I don't care how bad the team is in correlation to enjoying what he brings to the table. He has added so much to the broadcast with his embracing of sabermetrics. I think what I find most appealing is he knows what they are, talks about them, and doesn't force feed them down everyone's throats. For my money I think he is the best pbp guy in baseball. Bob is pretty solid as well. I know he's a bit old school, but working with Len has really brought him around on a lot of matters. Plus it could be worse. Here in Kansas City, Rex Hudler is the color man. He makes my ears cry.
  4. Considering Len & Bob don't call postseason games, the regular season is all that matters. Bob does, you lose.
  5. Yeah I've heard he's impossible. You gotta hope someday he'll do a signing.
  6. Sorry, wasn't trying to insult you. It's still a cool ball. I'm just really anal about my autographs lol. I agree. My parents have a ball that has autographs on it from Ryne Sandebrg (!), Bill Murray(!!!), and... Turk Wendell :( I only do multiples on balls if they are on the same team. Sometimes it backfires on me though. In early 06 I had a ball at a royals game and got Tony Pena Jr. and Ross Gload. On the otherwise Justin Verlander actually signed, which is a rarity. So instead of a sweet spot of Verlander I had to settle for a card. :banghead:
  7. Well that sucked. Man I'd like to have a mulligan back to that point in time.

  9. Could be the series that decides who gets the first pick, although it's really early.
  10. Why would anyone get all those guys on the same signed ball? Billy, Ernie, and Z are all great graphs to have on their own ball.
  11. In Hendry's defense we had to finish strong in '10 or we would have ended up not making the playoffs. Cashier needed to fill that pen hole.
  12. All of this talk about Cespedes' contract that we wouldn't give him and you think the Cubs are going to give Hamels the 7 year/$150 million contract he's seeking. Yeah, they probably won't ever sign somebody to more than 2Y/9M Lot of 30 win teams coming, Theo was a double secret cardinal agent.
  13. Starlin Castro is a Hendry gift also.
  14. Since he just signed I would assume he is at extended spring training.
  15. I don't think anyone is saying the Pacers have stars. They have a potential star, and some All-Stars, but no true stars right now. We were discussing a potential SA-Boston final though which does have stars on both sides. IMO, it's a problem for the NBA if they can't market that series well. My fault. Thought you meant Indiana San Antonio.
  16. No, the Pacers don't have any stars. Danny Granger isn't a star. He's not made any olympic teams, no one knows who in the blue hell he is. They are a good team that the NBA is praying gets beat out because they aren't marketable because they don't have any stars.
  17. Why can't LaHair play right with demeans going to center when the time comes?
  18. The next Mark Prior? No thanks. I'll take the next Justin Verlander or Clayton Kershaw though. Mark Prior was that good. For about two seasons. It's about sustaining success though if this team is going to be successful. You need a reliable guy that will stay healthy and do it year after year. Since I think the blame for that lies mainly on the cubs front office and dusty baker I'm ok with getting that type of talent again.
  19. The next Mark Prior? No thanks. I'll take the next Justin Verlander or Clayton Kershaw though. Mark Prior was that good.
  20. In 2016 when we are enjoying the next Mark Prior, I hope everyone remembers why it was worth tanking this year.
  21. Lord knows what this even means. Shower talk. No worries.
  22. Yes, it certainly must be embarrassing to lose 2 games to the 76ers. I could only imagine what it would feel like to lose 4. We were without our best player. I think you have all of your best players playing in this series though, no? I ask because each week Boston decides on that weeks injured dinosaur being their bext player.
  23. There were a few lame foul calls, but most seemed pretty legitimate to me. There was a lot of driving to the hoop happening and all of them were getting challenged. The Lakers only won this game because of their amazing free throw percentage. There were two fouls called on Harden for what I guess was standing too cose to Kobe. Those Harden fouls were pathetic. David Stern can't have Kobe getting swept again, that would be bad for business.
