    Health/team dependant. Average OPS+ over the last four years: Fonz: 117 Pods: 89 Much better choice than runs scored. The fact that there's an argument about who is a better leadoff man between the 2nd worst hitter in baseball (behind GRINDERSTAD) and Fons is a testament to how underwhelming Soriano has been. Hope he fares better, for your sake.

    And the fact that Scott slaps the ball like a little girl while Fons occasionally plants one in the seats (and by occasionally I mean a lot).

    Hahahaha I'm a better OF than Rob Macowiak and I have an astigmatism. I saw that Anderson is DHing yeserday. I thought he was primarily a glove man at this point? Brutal. I've heard he's the best defensive CF in baseball. :lol: It is certainly disputable. Perhaps I gave him too much credit, but IMO, he's at least top 3-5

    My favorite part of the exchange that made it onto FJM was that they actually mentioned Eckstein. It was so surreal.

    Even though I'm a Sox fan, I've heard a lot of Pat Hughes over the years and he really is an amazing talent in the booth. I've always favored John Rooney but Hughes is probably right there with him.

    Sizemore and Hunter are nowhere near Anderson in RATE2...and BP is down...how can I argue with no resources... :D Granderson is right there with him though. Perhaps I was a bit hyperbolic, but Anderson is certainly an elite defensive CF. At the beginning of last season BP wrote an article about how amazing his defense was.

    Name one CF better than Anderson. It's not immune to dispute, but there is no one who is clearly better than BA.

    Hmmm...Ozzie has the best defensive CF (in baseball) on the bench in the late innings. He has one AB in seven games. This will be a very bad season the way the Sox hit lefties. Screw Ozzie.

    Harold Baines negative 10 years I believe is the quickest. That was incredibly goofy. Yeah, that was a head scratcher. And for such an uninspiring player too-Harold was good, but not very good or great.

    He gave up a lot of HR in 05-06, but only 23 last season. I believe in his ability to settle down. Can we all agree it's a better investment than giving the same contract to Buehrle?

    I'm amped about the deal. Javy has the stuff and has shown some good peripherals. IMHO, he's a much better investment than Buehrle.

    Hey don't forget the cheap shot he took at Brian Anderson. Ozzie is 100% garbage and I hope he lets another slur slip this season and gets canned.

    I'm sure it had more to do with Zito/Soriano than singling out two organizations. I don't care what anyone says, Selig had the right to blast Hendry and Sabean.

    Doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if the university dismisses him and it never comes by Weber. That being said, we all know how athletes are treated at every major university.

    I just want to say one more time before tipoff that I despise Kelvin Sampson and am disgusted that a fine program like IU would hire such a despicable cheater (not talking about EJ). Also, DJ White is a tremendous prick. That being said, here's to an injury free game for both sides. Good luck IU!
