  1. I really felt him when he got emotional there at the end. I know that feeling so well. I miss playing more than anything in the world. I'm glad he's our manager. Seems like a really really good guy.
  2. Wrong. Given our current secondary, ANYTHING is an improvement. Let's compare: KK(2006, FS): 14 games, 63 tackles, 4 sacks, 6 int's Josh Bullocks(2006, FS): 16 games, 71 tackles, 0 sacks, 2 int's So basically, a part time player for the Bengals had a much better "playmaking" season compared to our current, full time free safety.
  3. He is everything Zach Hilton (no relation to Paris) ever wanted to be. Good move by the aints, but their defense probably wont overacheive to the level it did this past year, though. Adding a playmaker like Kevin Kaesvaharn and adding a solid MLB in Simmons will help considerably. They are still in the running for some of the top CB's still on the market.
  4. Saints pickup TE Eric Johnson from the 49ers. Two years ago he received for over 800 yards with Tim Rattay throwing to him. Let's hope Brees turns him into a pro-bowler. That makes the Saints offense just that much harder to figure out how to defend. We didn't use the TE hardly at all last season.
  5. Zero actually. The Saints also got their MLB Brian Simmons out of FA. He also had no arrests. The Saints are single handedly taking all their good boys away from them.
  6. Good nickel DB and a special teams monster. His coverage skills aren't that great from what I have heard, so if you have him as one of your starting safeties, you might suffer a bit. Well, considering that he had 6 int's in only 14 games and our ENTIRE secondary only had 8 int's the entire season including the postseason, I'm not too concerned about his coverage skills compared to the guys we got now.
  7. Apparently my beloved Saints are about to sign Kevin Kaesvaharn from the Bengals. Anyone know anything about him? He only started 7 games and played in 14, but still had 11 passes defended, 6 INT's and 4 sacks. Did find this MONSTER hit that he put on somebody. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkyNVrwg1gk
  8. Denver is going crazy this offseason. Someone stop them before they consume us all!!
  9. No kidding, that's a huge pickup.
  10. Willis with a 4.49!!! WOOO!! 41 inch vertical too!
  11. It's been mentioned, and it happens every time. There's not much to discuss. They already used it. So they will either sign him for 2007, sign him longterm, or get a nice return via trade. Well, I mention it because Saints fans are going through the same thing with Charles Grant. We franchised him and now he's going on every radio station he can find and bitching about it, saying stuff like he feels that the organization "spat in his face" Hell, I'd love to get spat in the face to the tune of 8.8 million a year.
  12. apparently Briggs is pissed off that the Bears applied the franchise tag to him. Have we already discussed this? I don't want to be a johnny come lately; haven't been reading this thread.
  13. Surely Ryno is gonna get the 2nd Base nod.
  14. Jeez, get off Fonz's back. Haven't some of y'all played baseball at any real level? The first day of practice isn't very intense and you aren't trying to do too much. I suffer to think if people would have assumed anything about my ability to play first base from watching me on the 1st day of practice.
  15. well, no, no it isn't. because, see, when you step into Wrigley, it's still actually 2007, not 1933. It's not a museum. The truth is, the Cubs have been extremely great about not simply tearing it down and building a luxury-suit riddled throwback park in Naperville, as that would actually keep them up with the other teams (as far as park revenue). let's not act like the cubs are doing us any big favors. these ads are embarrassing. our pristine ballpark is becoming a parody of its former self, and people like you are stepping up and telling others the cubs are being nice to us. as soon as the cubs figure out a way to swing it so that people won't get mad and they won't lose money, they'll start working on a new ballpark. I guess you haven't noticed how just about every other team in baseball has built a new ballpark, including the recently announced plans for a new yankee stadium. The Cubs are indeed doing us a favor by only putting Under Armor logos on the doors and not building Tribune Park out in Batavia Ridiculous. Just as many people go to games to experience Wrigley Field as go to experience a Cubs game. "Wrigley Field" is just as much of a draw, if not MORE than "The Cubs".
  16. This is such crap. It's like seeing somebody wearing a wristwatch in "Braveheart". That Under Armour ad is practically an anachronism.
  17. GO TO HELL 'BAMA punks!!!
  18. Oh my god...this might be the worst mock draft I've ever seen by a "professional". http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jm-mockdraft020807&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Some notables: No. 9 - Brady Quinn to Dolphins No. 14 - Lawrence Timmons to Panthers (No way Timmons goes above Willis, who this guy doesn't even have on his first round.) No. 16 - Adrian Peterson to Green Bay (Ya sure) He doesn't have Michael Griffin from Texas in his first round either, which is somewhat of a surprise to me as well.
  19. Just GO AWAY Barroid!! You've damn near done as much damage to the game as the strike!
  20. He had 16 yards rushing. Willis had 11 tackles and was Defensive MVP.
  21. That's cuz there weren't any!! Naw, actually Willis had 10 tackles in that game.
  22. This guy is predicted by most mocks to be the 1st linebacker taken overall, somewhere between the 10th and 15th pick. He's my next door neighbor and a buddy of mine, so I'm reallllllly hoping the Saints trade up to get him somehow. He couldn't be a nicer or humbler guy either. He grew up picking cotton and was taken away from his abusive parents and put in foster homes while growing up. That has given him a ton of character. Anyways, I made a video last night of him crushing some people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IqadSMQm5o Also, these are some of his ridiculous tackles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bM4sEmaFLQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVaa8NWqync
  23. I guess USC is trying out the fantasy draft strategy-if they get all the RB's, they'll win for sure-they had 3 backs last year, and now they've added 2 more stars? I don't quite get why every back wants to go and get 5 carries maybe, but I guess we'll have to see how it all works out. That guy's stats are just hysterical. That's like 14 yards a carry. It was only in 2-A though. So, his [expletive] stats gotta be viewed in context though.
  24. Ya. He's a great athlete but a terrible QB. I'll be glad to be rid of him. Kid threw 9 td's last year. We're used to Eli throwing 31td's every year here. Guess we got spoiled though.
  25. Ewww he does. Never seen the kid before. I just know that he was the no.3 rated QB in the country coming out of high school. Ole Miss hasn't had a QB since Manning worth a damn.
