Ole Miss is either 12 or 16 depending on who you look at. Not bad for a team that was 4-8 and hasn't had a winning season since 2003. Top signing I guess is Sam Snead, QB transfer from Texas.
I remember Eli Manning beating him when the Gators were ranked no.6 and essentially ending Grossman's Heisman run. Grossman was 19 of 44 by the way. :-) Ok, I really will shutup now.
He hardly ever gets a chance to do anything? That's blatant homeristic nonsense. Eli has had plenty of chances, and he's blown nearly all of them. He's had 7 fourth quarter comebacks in his career with the Giants. Given that, I much rather would have had him than blunder the boy wonder Grossman Sunday night during the fourth quarter.
Yes, in Oxford, Miss., we have two FOX channels and every weekend they show the Saints game on one and the Giants game on the other (Since Eli is a hometown boy basically). So I get to see the Giants every Sunday, and I can tell ya that Burress is a punk and I would much rather have Berrian than that punk. He quits on nearly every route, and he's one of the worst WR blockers I've ever seen. Plus their defense is so bad that Eli hardly ever gets a shot to do anything, so when he does get his chance, he's usually trying to force things.
The AFC section of that will defintely be the toughest part. We'll have to wait for the offseason to play itself out to see how tough the NFC will be. I think the Cowboys game could be really interesting depending on what Rivera does. The Chargers part is tough, akin to going to New England, but I'm not sure Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders is going to pose any more of a threat than Jets, Dolphins, Bills. Broncos might be tough. Cutler is going to be bad to the bone when he gets more experience and confidence. Be nice if the Bears had him instead of Rexy.

The Bears schedule looks much tougher next year than it was this year: http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/2007_opponents Home: Det, GB, Min, Dallas, Saints, Giants, Bronco's, Chiefs Away: DT, GB, Min, Eagles, Skins, Raiders, Seahawks, and Chargers
Not a fair assessment because Giants fans hate everybody on their team. Typical New York sports fans. Everybody on that team hates everyone else on the team. That's just a messed up franchise. They desperately need a new Head Coach. That's not true. NY fans worship at the alter of good players and good teams. Eli just isn't that good. He's got all the bad aspects of Rex without the success of making it to the Super Bowl to soften the blow. He's clearly had better weapons at his disposal but hasn't done anymore with them than Rex has done with the Bears minimal options. I dunno, he was basically stuck with only one WR for half the season after Toomer got DL'd, and I'd much rather have someone like Berrian than Plaxico, who's just an ass who quits on his routes. But no doubt, he's definitely got the best, or one of the best TE's in the game today.

They desperately need a new Head Coach. Not really. People don't like Eli because he's been not good. Also it seems he is unable to close his mouth and must leave it open or partially open at all times. Ya we used to bust his chops about that. Like, almost literally what you just said. People would mess with him and tell him to close his mouth when on the sidelines. I still maintain his upside is bigger than Rex's. I think what hurts Eli worse than Rex in the public eye is the fact that he was taken so highly in the draft and was expected to do so much. Plus, his last name is Manning. However, they have basically identical numbers this season: Manning: 24td, 18 int, 3244 yds, 57.7 comp, 77 passer rating Grossman: 23td, 20int, 3193 yds, 54.6 comp, 73.9 rating

I dunno man. I know I'm a bit bias because I know the guy, and I wouldn't say I'd "absolutely go" with Eli, but I have to think that Eli has much more upside than Rex. Surely Bears fans are alot more fearful of Rex running them out of a game than Giants fans worry about Eli.
Screw it. Try and get Schaub from Hotlanta. He's gonna be bad to the bone if he gets a chance to start somewhere. are you serious..Matt Schaub? I have a good friend who is a huge Falcons fan, and hates the idea of Schuab starting...I didnt think he showed much promise... Interesting. Most Falcons fans i know, and there are quite a few down here, they'd rather have Schaub start than Vick. The last time Schaub started a game he threw 298yds, 3td's and had a 112.1 passer rating. Posted this earlier, but this website said this about him: http://www.footballsfuture.com/2007/nfl/freeagents.html
It doesn't matter what your intentions are, the result is the same. Nobody ever said the Bears are good in rain. The cold and snow was an advantage against New Orleans mostly because the Saints never played in those conditions. The rain is bad for the Bears. And the rain was good for the Colts? Hell, they're a dome team. I didn't say it was good. Seriously, go away. No, if you have a problem discussing the game, then you go away. What have you said about the game? You're complaining about how Bears fans are reacting to the game, not to mention, claiming I am saying something I didn't say. I'm not in the mood for arguing with a pestering fan of another team who doesn't have the common courtesy to interact appropriately with the fans of a team that just lost the Super Bowl. I've spent the last ten pages talking about the game! Talking about how I don't think Grossman is good for the future of the Bears and that they should go out and get Matt Shaub or something. I was pulling for the Bears last nite. I wanted them to win for numerous reasons. First off it makes the Saints look better. Second, I like the NFC. Third, a good many of my friends are Bears fans, and fourth, I was looking forward to seeing all of y'all enjoy a Bears victory. If I was going to be classless I would have acted like some of the Bears fans on this forum acted toward me after the Saints game. All I asked is why so many Bears fans that I see on TV are going on and on about the weather, yet their opponent was a dome team!
