  1. 3.7 YPC is not decent. It's well below average. It's crap when talking about team's in the playoffs. On grass: Jones: 76 yds, 3.8ypc Benson: 41 yds, 4.2ypc I guess Jones is well below average too?
  2. On grass: Deuce is averaging 17 carries, 62 yards, and 3.7ypc Bush is averaging 12 carries, 44 yards, and 3.6ypc In Dome: Deuce is averaging 16 carries, 76 yards, and 4.75ypc Bush is averaging 7 carries, 30 yards, and 3.8ypc
  3. No I'm not. The Saints are playing better defense right now than the Bears. It's not that complicated. Injuries have hurt your defense.
  4. Stats are meaningless to you guys apparently. I find it humorous to watch you guys squirm when confronted with the fact that your D gave up a boatload of points to some of the crappiest offenses in the NFL.
  5. You had the 32nd ranked strength of schedule. That's dead last. Saints had the 3rd ranked SOS.
  6. Definitely not overall. The Bears D is a beast. But the second half of the season y'all played poor offensive teams and gave up a ton of points. I showed you stats that showed that during OUR second half we played good offensive teams and gave up few points. Right now I think the Saints D is better. The stats prove that easily. no they don't. but your belief that they do prove you don't know much about football. How do the stats not prove this??? Look at your last 3 "real" games: You gave up 31 points to the 29th ranked offense in football! Then a week later gave up 21 points to the 22nd ranked offense. Then last week you gave up 24 points to the 19th ranked offense. Our last 3 "real games: 16 points to the 13th ranked offense, 7 points to the 14th ranked offense, then 24 points to the 2nd ranked offense.
  7. There is a difference in a throwaway game and another game. I didn't factor our throwaway game (where our starters played ONE series) just like I didn't factor your throwaway game into the stats (which in my opinion was hardly played like a throwaway game, given that Jones and Benson had over 20 combined carries and Hester returned 6 times)
  8. Definitely not overall. The Bears D is a beast. But the second half of the season y'all played poor offensive teams and gave up a ton of points. 9. The Eagles offense is ranked 2nd in the NFL. The game was played in a dome which is ideal for a run game.
  10. That's a ridiculous excuse. You think Urlacher or Hillenmeyer were like "well, we're already gonna be in the playoffs, so I'm only gonna play 80% today." These guys are professional athletes who love competition. If they are in the game, they are gonna be trying their best.
  11. A bit of a bold prediction given what your defense has done lately. Over the Bears last 10 games, not including the Packers game, they've given up an average of 20 points to teams whose average offensive ranking is 19! And you expect to hold the No.1 offense in the league to 16 points?
  12. 11th in the NFL is pretty good. Over their last 7 games, including the Eagles playoff win, but not including the throwaway Panthers game, the Saints D are only allowing 14.5 points. Over that same span, not including the throwaway Packers game, the Bears D is giving up 22 points. In that span, the Bears D gave up 31 points to the 29th ranked offense in the league (TB), gave up 22 points to the 21st ranked offense(DET), and then 24 points to the 19th ranked offense(SEA). In their last 7 game span, Saints gave up 13 points to the 12th ranked offense(ATL), 17 points to the 5th ranked offense (DAL), and 7 points to the 13th ranked offense (NY), and 24 points to the 2nd ranked offense (PHI).

  14. You're right. I had no idea New Orleans was devastated by a hurricane until the Saints starting winning football games. I think he means it brings attention to the situation that the city is STILL devastated. I've been down there three times since the hurricane, and nothing really has changed. It's beyond creepy when you travel to the ninth ward and see thousands and thousands of homes that are completely abandoned and are off their foundations. It's like something out of a movie. I'm sorry you have to put up with the "feel good" stories, and I don't like them either because I think they detract away from the fact that the Saints are actually a damn good team, but Katrina didn't affect you in any way, so I think it's a bit of a jerky thing to constantly bitch about the stories. I've got about a dozen friends who lost everything they ever had thanks to the hurricane. Two elderly people that I knew perished as a result of Katrina, and another lost a leg due to gangrene as a result of losing her insulin. Just deal with it.
  15. I swear upon all that is holy that you better not be talking about me. I've suffered my entire life watching this team every Sunday, many of those times I was watching in person in the Superdome, and I'll be damned if I'll be called a bandwagon fan, after ALL these years of suffering. Ole Miss, I believe you, even though I dont think you should care. BUT, I demand you answer this question .. Who was the greatest fullback in the history of the Saints according to me? If you answer this correctly... I decree that you are the king of all saints fans. If you answer incorrectly... we have killed time till the game starts. Gotta be Ironhead Heyward!!
  16. I agree. I saw your post after reading the end of this article. http://www.nbc5.com/sports/10774432/detail.html while i agree with that article somewhat, its now as cut and dry as they make it seem. the bears have now played on this field which has been really bad 2 times, new orleans hasnt at all. that is a advantage to the bears in my opinon. the field being what it is will most likely limit Reggie Bush and his ability to cut back and forth. Cold and wind are small factors but if it snows, that will be a big factor. im not saying the Saints cant come in here in bad conditions and beat the bears, im saying that the bears have experience in bad weather conditions on a bad field, New Orleans dosent, the saints have only played 11 games in domes this year (8 at home, 2 against Atlanta, 1 against Dallas, semi dome) Both Pittsburgh's field and the Giants field were chewed up pretty bad. I remember thinking how scared I was that one of our guys would get hurt. But ya, Bears definitely have the advantage in that respect.
  17. How many freezing cold games have the Bears played in this year?
  18. When the crap have I had the opportunity to brag about the Saints. Mostly I keep my mouth shut about them because they are so bad it's embarrassing. I bet if you go dig up the NFL Draft thread from last year you'll see me jumping up and down about Bush. My grandfather had season tickets with them every year until he died. I've probably been to 30 or 40 Saints games in my life. Hell, I still have an Archie Manning jersey that my father got back in the 70's. Saints AND Cubs? you've made some awful choices, my friend. That's kinda the joke with me. I was born into having a lifelong passion for the Cubs (1906 last champ.), the Rebels (1963 last SEC champ.), and Saints (7 winning seasons in 40 years). It's just pitiful. Although, when I've actually played sports, my luck is better. My high school baseball and football teams won the 5A State Championship's both my junior and senior years. That football team had 2 current NFL players on it. Patriots kicker Gostkowski was our kicker and also pitched on the baseball team with me, and Chris Spencer, the Seahawks center who was drafted in the first round two years ago played center.
  19. Because I'm from Mississippi, which is often times more of a Saints state than Louisiana, which has a ton of Cowboy fans. Don't forget that Tom Benson, many times over the past decade or so, attempted to move the team to the Mississippi gulf coast, because such a huge amount of Saints fans are from Mississippi.
  20. Bandwagon fans usually don't stand their ground and fight it out, all by themselves, against an onslaught of opposing fans.

  23. No need, I'll just quit talking about it.
