  1. I think this is a pretty bad way to judge bang for buck.....but I think it is hard to defend the Cubs product for what they are spending.
  2. Is Goal differential a historically accurate way to determine points in the NHL? Is it possibly more inaccurate now since a team gets 2 points for a OT/shootout win?
  3. Yzerman is awesome!!!
  4. going into last nights game the NJ Devils had won 4 straight and were still had the lowest point total in the NHL. It is amazing how bad that they are considering their talent level.
  5. I have wondered the same thing since I heard that Collins was hurt.
  6. Welcome to page 44 lol Seems like every Wings win this month has been in OT, while all there loses seem to be rather one-sided. Of course I should look this up because it is probably just perception
  7. why is that weird?
  8. does Kopecky have like 4 goals this year with 3 coming against Detroit?
  9. Thank you for saying what most Illinois fans seem to overlook when it comes to officiating.
  10. captains are crucial in the asg game too. need somebody to pump up the team in a game where guys are skating at 40% speed They're more crucial in the ASG than the season, because they're actually picking teams. Just thought it'd be Crosby and Ovechkin. since the ASG is stupid, I would say that the Captains are moot. I understood Lidstrom but didnt understand Staal until I found out the game is in Carolina.
  11. Probably not, but if you're going to include Shark in the list, you have to include Diamond. He could well get some starts this year to fill for injuries. At what point does Shark not make a run for the NFL? This is his last year under contract, so if he doesn't make it happen this year in baseball, my guess is he'd make an attempt at the NFl next year. I think not playing competitive fb in over 4 yrs makes his making the NFL a real long shot at this point....of course I could be wrong
  12. I would not pay that much for either. thats just me though
  13. Holmstrom out for at least a month and Howard also went out of the game last night. This to go with Datsyuk, Cleary, and Modano already being out. The Wings are starting to look like last years version, except they are still somehow getting most of these games to OT and at least getting a point.
  14. I think Bolland and his contract are in the same boat as Campbell and his contract. It is not that they are awful players who do not make important contributions to the team, it is that they are overpaid for the contributions they make (Of course I would say the same about Kane also). I think like all trades, if the Hawks could unload Bollands contract and not make the team worse, they should do it. If they are just unloading his salary to unload it, probably not the best move for the team at this point.
  15. Lloyd Carr is available
  16. Chapter 24 in the book Jim Hendry, The Failure Project
  17. I dont understand how Roberto Alomar can get 90% of the vote and Tim Raines cannot even get 50
  18. He's also 70. So the only reason you are discounting him is his age?
  19. Gary Moeller is available and is a Michigan Man
  20. well, if this isnt the most racist post of 2011 just for context, I first read this story on Yahoo. The comments that came with the story would make eriks statement really tame
  21. I think they should keep him
  22. because they dominated Wisconsin?
  23. looks like I can watch the other games
  24. i hate complaining about refs, but 2 backwards passes in a row were called forward.
  25. Do you guys think that this trade may be similar to the Bartolo Colon trade for Montreal? I am not saying that the Brewers gave up that level of talent, but I think they are in a similar place as Montreal was back when they made that trade for Colon.
