  1. [tweet] [/tweet] There’s not much that could make me more of a Cubs super fan again than if Big Z returned.
  2. Not sure if the Orioles thing will pan out, but I think it’s a foregone conclusion that the Rays and Marlins have to relocate. Charlotte and Nashville would be two good markets for them and it wouldn’t upset the divisional alignment. Pretty sure the Braves would fight that tooth and nail, even more so since their new ballpark is practically halfway to Charlotte.
  3. The Pirates have given up. Their playing as badly as anyone in baseball right now.
  4. Murton’d
  5. So, "add foe" means ignore, right? EDIT: Why yes. Yes it does.
  6. This explains a lot.
  7. Edit: it’s been 16 years, we’re allowed to laugh about this now right?
  8. I know, you’ve made about a hundred posts about it in the past two days I must need to post it more with idiots like you who still think he's been good there because he hit a couple leadoff HR Thinking he’s been good pretty good there for a week or so and thinking he is the “answer” at leadoff are two different things.
  9. Yeah, they’ve gone from lingering around to full blown suck in a few weeks. They look disinterested.
  10. Thank god.
  11. Hawk and then Dunston were my favorites as a kid. I’m going Javy. Ryno was as vanilla as it gets. Javy is Baskin Robbins.
  12. regardless of moves, the cubs season is quite confusing. How do you have a positive RD on the road and yet have the worst road record in the league? That seems almost impossible. I count 11 or 12 one-run road losses, so there's your starting point How many blown save walkoffs have the Cubs had?
  13. The most baller thing ever (yes, I'm talking about Hendricks) is when he could have tried for the double play, but instead he looked back the runner at third and calmly took the out at first. Like, no big deal, I'm going to get the next guy anyway. He wiggled off the hook a few times last night and made it seem effortless.
  14. Yeah, this is one of those moves where I am weirdly bummed about a middling player no longer being on the Cubs. Carl's always seemed like a Good Weird Dude. Why do you say that?
  15. I always irrationally liked Carl and had hopes he'd at least be a solid set up guy. Good luck.
  16. Seriously. Not quite competing but not quite building for the future. WTF
  17. Jays announced he was being called up.
  18. Wish these homers would hit the top of the wall so they’d be rbi doubles instead. RALLY KILLERS!
  19. Agree mostly, but I guess that ownership’s actions rank much worse than Cole Hamels’ spouse’s actions on my give a horsefeathers meter.
