  1. Sorry Illinois fans. Enjoy him and his wife talking trash on social media while getting blasted week after week.
  2. Me too. Taysom Hill is going to kill my fantasy playoff chances by continuing to ignore the value of Kamara to that offense. There you go.
  3. If the starting QB vs the Chiefs is someone other than Drew or Jamies I’m going to lose my effing mind.
  4. What I read there is that he promised Taysom the opportunity to be the #2. He's had that opportunity. It's Jamies time now if there's any hope of beating KC.
  5. The Super Bowl rep for the NFC will be one of the Saints, Rams or Packers. Everyone else in the conference is just meh or worse.
  6. I know it’s only his 3rd career start or whatever, but he is missing some wide ass open receivers. He doesn’t seem to go through his progressions fast enough and ends up getting sacked. Dude has seemingly been sacked more times in the past few games than Drew had been all season. I’m really upset to not see Winston with this offense. He’s a doofus but he’s got a metric ton of arm talent. All that said, that Eagles loss was on the defense inexplicably forgetting how to contain the run. Just brutal. Saints are usually do for one of those games a year. Hopefully that was it. Not only was Taysom missing wide open receivers, play after play, week after week, he will have guys wide open down the field but tries to squeeze in passes to Mike Thomas, often 5 yards short of the 1st down. He's flat out not seeing the field, and it's not like he's Garrett Grayson or some 21 year old rookie. He's 30 and has been studying behind Drew for years. It's just not going to happen with him. You're right on the second point, but I'd also add the the interior Saints O-line wasn't blocking anyone Sunday.
  7. I'm not familiar with SEC football but firing Gus strikes me as a horsefeathering stupid decision. He was 7-18 against Bama, LSU, and Georgia. If your goal is to win a title you need to be doing better than that. This was his 8th season there. Things get stale after a while. Cristobal seems to be a name that would make sense. Although some speculate he is holding out for Saban’s retirement. Auburn fans are all in on Freeze right now apparently. Yeah, Gus’ teams always have been as talented as anyone but his teams typically horsefeathers the bed at least once a season. They’ve been a beneficiary of some miraculous luck in the few times they’ve beaten their rivals. Defenses in the conference have caught up to his RPO offense. Auburn fans have wanted him gone for awhile.
  8. Drew still has pain and does not have a full range of motion in his shoulder. I don’t think he’s starting next week vs KC, either. The narrative with Saints media is that Taysom is progressing and might still be the QB of the future, but I’m not seeing it at all. Hopefully he has to run a two minute drill today.
  9. https://www.radio.com/670thescore/sports/chicago-cubs/cubs-need-to-add-pitching-depth-for-present-future I’d love for BDJ to develop a new offspeed and stay with the Cubs as a solid BOR starter.
  10. They’ve both been a lot better lately. I didn’t realize the talent Washington has. They’re not that far away from respectability.
  11. Get Gregg Williams out of the horsefeathering league.
  12. Up with mega threads. This is mostly born from the fact that I’m pretty sure this is week 12 but the Beats thread says week 13. Plus, the weekly NFL thread has maybe 9 posts.
  13. If someone has a better idea, by all means... Taysom Hill still sucks as a full time starter, but Kamara and that defense are ridiculous. Kamara has some of the best balance and vision as a RB that I can remember.
  14. He’s on a fast train to being the next Gene Chizik. To show you how fickle these LSU fans are, that is the talk of local radio and twitter this year.
  15. Lol. Coach O ripping into Bo Pellini on the sidelines. Orgeron has been acting like a raging lunatic toward coaches and players during games all season.
  16. A really good read from Peter Gammons in the Athletic today (seriously) about what he misses by not being on the field talking to players. https://theathletic.com/2234677/2020/12/04/gammons-what-2021-mlb-season-look-like/ A mention of KB: :-k
  17. if we still did sigs i'd totally sig this In the end, of course. But individually, were we right about Russell or Schwarber? Just wondering how our 2015 core in retrospect compares to to this White Sox core.
  18. As did I, and here we are with Schwarbs and Jorge with the Royals (although that trade was fine). and three straight NLCS appearances when i had previously seen one and a horsefeathering world series ring on all their fingers so basically you're trying to argue that we should give the white sox extra credit for not having failed yet? i only raise it this way because you're the one who wants to use hindsight. Arguing nothing, legit asking. Judging the Sox core on projection, which is just educated guessing until it happens. We overvalued our prospects. Sure, they won a title, but that doesn’t mean we were right. Schwarber is horsefeathering Rob Deer.

  20. Titos and ginger beer and herb, but I apologize for nothing. That said, there’s no way a baseball nerd like Len leaves the Cubs play by play TV gig for a radio job unless there’s something else there.
  21. As did I, and here we are with Schwarbs and Jorge with the Royals (although that trade was fine).
  22. SUPERTHREAD WARNING: So you think the Cubs had a better core in 2015 than the White Sox do now? I didn’t think that would be too controversial (particularly on a Cubs board). You had two top 5 prospects in the game (Bryant and Russell), Rizzo, the #4 pick in the draft who had destroyed the minors (Schwarber), another top 25/top 50 prospect (Javy), Soler, Contreras in the pipeline, Arrieta and Lester at the top of the rotation, plus Hendricks. Fine. I’m not the guy on this, but hindsight makes that questionable for me.
  23. No chance. Right. The White Sox have a bright future, but they’re not quite on the “budding dynasty” level that some seem to place them at. The Cubs had a better core in 2015 and, five years later, people are acting like the organization is in shambles. Baseball is becoming more and more of a young player’s game, and the windows are getting smaller unless you’re actively replenishing a top 5 farm system. SUPERTHREAD WARNING: So you think the Cubs had a better core in 2015 than the White Sox do now?
  24. You deny the interestingness of Kerry’s emergence or the Sandberg/Dawson/Maddux years? (Admittedly the latter’s best run was ‘89, but still...) Got me on Kerry Wood. Sandberg, Maddux and Dawson barely cause a blip in the 90’s for the Cubs. Henry horsefeathering Rodriguez has more resonance for me in that decade. Edit: You are bull [expletive] me. Surely.
  25. Outside of late 90’s Sammy Sosa, there was not one single interesting thing about the Cubs, other than the Cuba uniforms and Glenallen Hill.
