  1. I know this is a Bears board, but the Saints are hardly impressive either. Michael Thomas makes such a difference on this team
  2. Really surprised the Saints aren’t running the ball better. Also, Drew will not throw 20 yards downfield.
  3. Yep. Safety help is nonexistent.
  4. The Bears absolutely have a chance to win. Saints D isn’t going to allow them to run away from anyone. If Chicago gets enough big plays, the Saints weakness, they can win. Getting big plays is also the Bears weakness (along with getting small and medium plays). They're the only team that hasn't scored a TD beyond 50 yards since 2018.....and every other team has at least 2. Saints have allowed 6 plays over 48 yds in the last 4 games.
  5. There were some Hog fans that were clamoring for him last off-season. Thank god that didn’t happen. Speaking of LSU, the natives are restless here over Bo Pellini at DC. What a trainwreck. LSU is the first defending champ since 1991 to be under .500 five games into the season To be fair, usually defending champs have a few games vs Directional State U to begin their seasons.

  8. Emmanuel Sanders will still be out Sunday. Michael Thomas practiced today.
  9. A little deeper dive into the Saints... As you said raw, the run D is solid and the pass D is pretty rough, but it’s mistakes that have haunted them. Marcus Williams at S has been a disaster, biting on the wrong receivers, blowing assignments and giving up wide open big plays. Like, at least one a game, every week. That, plus there’s been a ton of PI calls on 3rd downs. Lattimore at CB has been disappointing, but he and Jenkins at the other CB have rarely been on the field at the same time this year, so I’m anxious to see if things improve. Davenport at DE finally being healthy is a huge boost to the pass rush as Cam Jordan was getting doubled 45% of plays, leading the league until last week. On offense, Marquez Callaway is looking pretty good stepping in for Thomas. The cold weather thing isn’t a factor anymore with the Saints. As Drew’s gotten older, they’re a running, screen and short pass, move the chains kind of team-just pretty good at it. OL has been a bright spot and Drew’s best game by far was last week.
  10. Ugh, No. I’d rather see what Winston can do with corrected vision next year as opposed to Taysom Hill full time. Could not agree more.
  11. It seems completely media driven, but lots of chatter about Jameis Winston to the Cowboys. Saints need help at Safety and Nickel.
  12. You have to go for it. Ideally, Bridgewater doesn't take a sack, but you have to go for it with that little time left. 4th and 19 is more likely to convert than the longest FG in the history of the NFL. Plus, a miss meant Saints get the ball 7 yards closer than a simple incompletion. I don't know. Slye has a cannon for a leg and didn't miss that by much. That's one of those where I don't know if I'd had an argument either way. That goes on Bridgewater (and the offensive line) more than anyone else. Carolina is clearly one of those teams that's just good enough to be a pain in the ass for just about anyone to play but not good enough to beat most of those teams. Tampa is the only loss of their four that wasn't really close - and on the flip side, Arizona is the only one of their wins that wasn't really close. That sounds like a perfect synopsis of a Teddy Bridgewater team.
  13. What was their alternative there? It was 4th and 19 from near midfield and 2 minutes left. Quick scouting report for Bears fans. Throw it deep against the Saints. They’ve had more blown zone coverage than any team in recent memory. Every freaking week.
  14. LOLOL Atlanta. The only thing more embarrassing than yet another blown lead are those Arena League uniforms.
  15. Holy horsefeathers is right. This would have been a flag twenty years ago. I remember Mike Singletary had a similar hit on a Dallas QB (Steve Pelluer?) and it literally knocked him unconscious.
  16. Counterpoint: the Steelers are the best team in football.
  17. Auburn getting some of that Bama love from the SEC this season. There’s no coaches in football I despise more than Malzhan and OC Chad Morris. Can’t wait for them to get crushed by the big boys in the conference.
  18. Syracuse lost last week by 17 pts to Liberty. They’re trailing Clemson by 6 in the 3rd quarter.
  19. I like it.
  20. Cowboys gonna Cowboy.
