Indeed. That may be the most talent rich state in the country and kids growing up in Louisiana are inundated with LSU for their entire lives. Their recruiting ranking the past 10 years: 4, 4, 3, 13, 8, 5, 8, 2, 6, 6. Their last 3 head coaches have all won National titles and 2 of those coaches were morons. I think he'll do well there. He might, but Napier is going to pull his share of talent out of the state to Florida.

That remains to be seen, but I think it might be a tough start for him at LSU. They've gone from one coach in Les Miles who basically let the players do anything they wanted, to Coach O who had no control over his staff nor his players and was basically a mascot. Maybe they'll respond well, but it is going to be a major change in culture, that's for sure.

Don't worry, Taysom has a nagging foot injury that likely will continue into the offseason. He's only marginally better than Seimien.

Napier to Florida. Riley, Tucker, Napier, Aranda, Jimbo all have jobs with OU now in competition for a new coach. LSU better get Kiffin or they’re left with Mark Stoops or Bill O’Brien.

From what the so-called insiders here are saying, Jimbo told them no. Like OMC said, Riley to LSU and Napier to UF is all the talk, but Aranda's name keeps surfacing too. Like I posted the other day, there will be some pissed off people down here if Napier goes to Florida and succeeds. Also, win or lose to aTm, this weekend will be Coach O's last game.

Mullen may be (definitely is) a clown, but he's done nothing but have good or great teams relative to expectations in the SEC for a decade and he gets fired after one bad year. Some college football programs are completely insane. His issue is that he’s not a very dynamic recruiter due to him being awkward as fvck, but he is an elite football mind. And in the college game I think you’d rather have the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s instead of the X’s and O’s, just look at Georgia. Speaking of which, this is why Mullen ultimately isn’t a good fit moving forward due to how Kirby is recruiting at Georgia. Cristobal would be a home run there but the rumor right now is that they are going after Napier, whom I also think would be a great hire for him. Man, Napier is impressive. There’s going to be a lot of pissed off south Louisiana people if he goes to Florida after LSU doesn’t offer him a job.

Texans beating the Titans and the Colts beating the Bills, just like we all predicted. This is shaping up to be a lost season for the Saints. The starting QB, best WR, best offensive weapon in Kamara, both starting OTs, starting LG, Kicker and Nickle CB out is too much to overcome.

Yep, he’s pretty good too. Very proud of Arkansas yesterday, but there’s no way BAMA is the second best team in the country. Georgia will torch them.

I think you mean Auburn, not Arkansas, but I agree with your point on the committee. Someone please make a case for Sparty to beat Ohio State. I really do not want to see them in the CFP this year. UAB over UTSA Memphis over Houston Clemson over Wake SMU/Cincy may be a close one.

If it makes you feel any better, the big rumor down here is that the LSU AD is going to make Jimbo tell him no. Tucker and Campbell are on the back-up list.

Bama is nowhere near what they were offensively last year, which isn’t too surprising since they lost a QB, RB and 2 WR who all went in the 1st round. Yes, but in previous years they could just plug in the next guy and not miss a beat. There is no Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Mark Ingram, Najee Harris on this team.
