So, strong effort by LSU or is BAMA that much weaker than previous years? I feel like there are at least 5 or 6 teams that could line up and beat the Tide this season.

It's pretty impressive. But it's all about to go to isht when Hill comes back. Payton has been waiting for this moment his whole life. Maybe they'll lose out and get to draft my boy Matt Corral. The Saints defense is elite, like Super Bowl level elite. This is still a playoff contender no matter who is under center. Michael Thomas likely returns next week, and the schedule gets much easier the rest of the way. Maybe I’m nuts, but I’m not totally sold that Taysom is the starter the rest of the way. Sean would be wise to start Siemian and use Taysom in his more natural gadget role.

Those jobs probably aren't significantly better than PSU, especially when you consider what an incoherent mess the programs have been for a while (LSU's all-time 'lightning in a bottle' title notwithstanding). But Franklin's name keeps getting floated, I assume, because Franklin wants his name floated. Dammit, I really hate defending LSU, but that is a more enviable job than PSU. For how good the recruiting grounds are in PA, Louisiana's HS talent is unreal, plus they recruit heavily in next door Houston and into Florida. LSU has won 3 titles in the last 18 years and is a regular team in the CFP. You're almost guaranteed a top 5 class every season, so the talent will always be there. horsefeathering Les Miles and Orgeron won titles there. And it's not just Franklin that might be floating his name. It's coming from the school and local press.

He’s stepping down and not getting fired for cause, so getting his $$$. Apparently, the AD didn’t have faith in any of his assistants to be interim HC either. Guessing they didn't want anyone fluking their way into a few wins and feeling any kind of pressure from players, etc. to keep them on. Letting O coach means they can completely clean house at the end of the year without any of that in the way. A lot more reporting on the agreement today. It seems O was all but gone after the UCLA game, but they finally approached Coach O and signed the deal the Monday after the Kentucky game. Essentially, Orgeron gets his money and finishes the season, LSU is assured that he walks away quietly and doesn’t tell the press (or the courts) where all the skeletons are buried in the Title IX and rape scandal coverups. It’s shady as horsefeathers. Since that 2019 championship season, Coach O has been in the middle of covering up player rape allegations, told a heckler he wanted to “take him down to a fishing hole” where supposedly they’d never find his body, the UCLA “sissy blue shirt” comment walking into the Rose Bowl right before he got his ass kicked, AND tweeting selfies of himself in bed with hot women. STILL, if he weren’t 9-8 since the title game, no one would give a horsefeathers.

wrong. institute the pitch clock. The 3 batter minimum will fix everything. Disregard the fact that teams are setting records for the number of pitchers used. But to my post last night, an hour after the first pitch is was just the middle of the 2nd inning with no pitching changes yet. It’s not just the length of the game it’s the pace. I finally checked out around the 5th.
