  1. Pedro railed on the Dodgers last night for how they handled Kershaw this postseason, saying that we shouldn't be surprised to see him with arm problems next season. How many reminders of Wood and Prior are allowed in one week?
  2. According to all the girls at the Red Sox bar I frequent he's dreamy. Shabby and unkempt is the new hot.
  3. I've always though Gus Malzahn was one of those guys who's a great coordinator but wouldn't make a great head coach, but that was a great game plan today for Auburn. He rotated in and out just about every player he had on his defensive squad so they would be fresh to chase down Manziel in the 4th quarter. He was patient and methodically ran the ball for 4, 5 ,6 yards and subsequent 13 play drives for TDs. He saved his best pass play for the biggest 3rd down of the game, and he exploited a huge advantage by having his receivers consistently outrace A&M corners. The Aggies put 9 in the box and he still ran off tackle and dared A&M to stop it. Great game for Auburn.
  4. Evans to me is the one guy on offense I've seen that's a "can't miss" NFL prospect. He is a beast in every game.
  5. A) Yes, Mizzou is much better than the worst team in the SEC. B) They have been extremely fortunate to play Georgia and Florida when they did. C) Bill Murray being Bill Murray on College Gameday makes that show watchable.
  6. I just googled to figure out who Voldemort is. I don't know if not knowing that makes me cooler or nerdier.
  7. I like to think he has two other kids names Zel and Zevoe Bryant's bat is poison.
  8. It's been awhile, but I can't wait for next season. There's about to be a string of highly anticipated MLB debuts for awhile to come.
  9. Just looking at this from a business aspect, who the hell is advising this guy? He very well might be that one guy every year who sits there on draft night in a suit watching player after player get picked in front of him. But yeah, he seems like a total douche in the mold of Albert Haynesworth or John L Sullivan. Jesus H. How freaking bad at journalism is ESPN? Almost unwatchable. As a side note, even though Clay Travis is a moron the FS1 college football morning show is worlds better than that idiocy over on College Gameday. You just compared a college kid to head-stomping Albert Haynesworth and then gloss over it by blaming it on ESPN? Please. Um, no. Those were 2 different posts making 2 different comments. ESPN had reported that Clowney didn't ride on the team bus. I made a comment. ESPN then retracted that report. I then made a different comment about that. It is possible that both Clowney AND ESPN suck in their own unique ways. http://rlv.zcache.com/reading_is_fundamental_puzzle-r8176a084d6304804b2846d7a73a49ee1_amb07_8byvr_324.jpg Oh, I can read. I was just giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were taking back your silly comment comparing Clowney to some actual douches after ESPN's report came out as false. My mistake. Besides, what has he actually done that compels you to compare him to a class act like Haynesworth? He didn't "allegedly" rape someone like Zack Mettenberger, he didn't steal laptops like Cam Newton, and he didn't yell homophobic slurs in the middle of a school play about Matthew Shepard like those Ole Miss players. I'm sure you know Clowney well enough to know how he's a "total douche." Easy slugger. I said he seems like a douche as has demonstrated even before the injury that he is more concerned about things other than playing great football, much like Haynesworth or Sullivan did. That's where my comparison ended. As for Mettenberger, Cam or the Ole Miss players, I have no idea what they have to do with this. He also did not murder his wife and her lover then lead a slow speed police chase down the freeway like OJ Simpson. What the [expletive] is the point?

  11. Congrats Mizzou. You are definitely better than Arkansas. Prairie View A&M circa 1990 is better than Arkansas.

  13. Coffee all over the place. Well done sir.

  16. Top team payrolls for 2013: #2-Dodgers #4-Red Sox #5-Tigers #11-Cardinals
  17. Doesn't this demonstrate the limitations of true Moneyball? These losses in deciding games are to Verlander (twice), Pedro, Clemens and Pettitte. Having to decide between handing the ball to Bartolo Colon or Sonny Gray isn't going to get it done. Same thing last night with the Cards/Pirates game.
  18. Yeah, pretty heroic of them to keep Colorado State and Georgia State out of the end zone. How convenient of you to leave off Ole Miss & Virginia Tech. Apparently you didn't get the memo about trashing the SEC no matter what.
  19. Yeah it's looking like SF/Seattle loser and then whoever finishes better between the Lions and Bears with the Lions currently holding the tiebreaker. Of course it's still really early and teams like the Redskins (ok maybe not), Vikings, Falcons, Eagles and heck even the Rams or Cardinals could play themselves back into a spot. The Bears and Lions are so much better than any of those other teams mentioned. If Chicago kept Cutler from getting his ass kicked every time he dropped back they are as good as anyone.
  20. It's a southern thing going back to losing the Civil War. Whether they will admit it or not, southerners are wracked with a loser mentality. So anything that makes them feel better about themselves they embrace 100%. It's why it's the one region of the country that in reality probably shouldn't have much regional pride yet has the most regional pride. Agree with this but I would substitute inferiority complex, especially when you're talking about those below the poverty line. As with everywhere else, the South is becoming homogenized and hopefully clinging to this "us against the world" mentality dies out of existence. All that said, Atlanta can burn again for all I care. A bunch of fair weather, LA of the South poser wannabes.
  21. Mike Smith has made the stupid decision to go for it on 4th down and goal for 2 straight weeks, and both times he's failed. He has a terrible O-line and is missing Stephen Jackson yet he decides to run 190 lb Rodgers up the middle. Boos rain down. Wishful thinking of course, but if this continues to go south for ATL I could see this turning into a train wreck. When guys like Roddy White are your "leaders" this might go badly. Geno Smith looks great tonight.
  22. Dirty Bird fans already booing their team. This is glorious. Example #348 why Atlanta fans are the worst.
  23. I knew Lane Kiffin was a douche but I had no idea he was that bad. I almost feel bad for Tennessee. Almost. http://www.aolnews.com/2010/01/12/volunteer-sources-say-kiffin-never-embraced-tennessee/
  24. They are in limbo. I like to imagine them playing limbo while in limbo. Hopefully while watching Lambada: The Fordidden Dance. http://www.freecodesource.com/movie-poster/519DWNK4GEL/-The-Forbidden-Dance-is-Lambada.jpg
  25. Good luck guys...not really. I think it all will come down to which O-line keeps their QB on his feet.
