Holy crap I am nervous about MNF, and have no idea how that's going to go. Cold weather game, but then the Saints are finally healthy on both sides of the ball. Can't wait.

Yeah, fitting that the BCS era ends with one more maddening round of "we got hosed." Yes, but if that person were Urban Meyer, it would be that much sweeter. Almost as much fun as watching Bama fans cry. If somehow Mizzou or Auburn were to win convincingly I could see that happen.

But someone has to play in the game, right? Two teams, in fact. So if FSU wins, they're clearly in. Who else is? If MSU beats OSU and Auburn beats Mizzou, then who should play in the game? You really think Bama should get another title game again after not making the SEC conf championship game (and even though they lost their last game)? Okie St? In that scenario, it would definitely be Auburn who's picked, although IMO they would be the weakest SEC team in a title game so far. FSU vs. Auburn would be a fun game to watch. What's interesting to me is if Mizzou beats Auburn (very possible) and Ohio St loses. Missouri or Bama?

For some reason when I was a kid I also loved the Bernie Kosar Browns with Mack and Byner, Newsome, Chip Banks, etc. A friend of mine got an Elway jersey and we weren't really friends after that.

A couple of my friends and I were discussing this last night over a few drinks. It's interesting to see who people liked enough at one time to go out and get their jersey. People mocked me for my Joe Horn jersey at the beginning of the 2009 season (rightfully so) but eventually I couldn't wear anything else as we started 13-0. Better than Darren Sproles? Yes, and this comes from a guy who sometimes wears a Sproles jersey to games. Sproles is absolutely more of the home run guy, but Pierre Thomas runs the screen like a thing of beauty. When we need a play, he's my second favorite option after Jimmy Graham.

In my absolutely biased opinion, I think the Saints are as able as any team in football to go all the way. There simply isn't a super team out there. The next 4 games will tell the tale, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see them go 3-1. Keep in mind that the 2 losses that the Saints had were on a miracle hail mary by Tom Brady, and a gift to the Jets after committing 4 turnovers and constantly shooting themselves in the foot. If the criticism is that Drew isn't throwing to the wideouts as much this year, I think that much of that reason is Jimmy Graham. There's only one football, and Drew goes to him when he needs a play where those passes used to go to Colston or Lance Moore. Pierre Thomas has been the best screen player in football for awhile now and they use that play often. The Championship team's O was much more reliant on the big play. This team seems much more of a grinder, fundamentally sound, long scoring drive type offense, which may be a result of having a better defense. What gives me more optimism than anything this year is the defense, specifically stopping the run. This defense is much better than the Super Bowl year. That unit that year was much more "smoke and mirrors" or bend but don't break type unit than this team's D.

I guess Martinez goes full time at 1B now, Cabrera to DH, Castellanos to 3B. It does free up money to resign Scherzer, but who bats behind Cabrera in order now? He'll be walked 3 times a game.

If you're referring to Petrino, they surely paid their penance when they fired him and endured John L. Smith for a year, and now this season. You really didn't hear about Jen Bielema's #karma tweet after the Wisconsin/ASU game? Oh yeah. I did. They sure do seem to love the Twitter don't they?
