You can do that? How does that even work? Does Tile just tell Merriman that he's under arrest, and then call in the police to take him into custody?

Match schedule hasn't been set yet, but I imagine since she's the only American playing that day (Serena Williams plays today), she'll be on Ashe at primetime (7pm ET). EDIT: Since there are only 3 other singles matches planned, and they've generally been giving primetime slots to one womens and one mens singles match, and the other womens singles match is Wickmayer/Bondarenko, I'd almost guarantee she's on at 7pm ET.

ESPN's consensus: Bears in 3rd place. Most of the reasoning is that the Bears will finish 3rd and get the last wildcard spot anyway, but Seth Wickersham wins the moron of the week award: Since A) The Broncos were idiots for worrying about Cutler, and B) THE BEARS FINISHED 9-7 LAST YEAR! -
I do find it a little funny that every player she's played has been Russian, and she could play yet another Russian, Kuznetsova, next round.

Depends on the match. Watching one of the Williams sisters play, there are very few rallies (worst case scenario is when they play each other). On the mens side, any strong server is going to have few rallies (eg. Roddick, Isner, Karlovic). A player like Federer or Nadal is likely to get into more rallies just because they get to so many balls.

Melania Oudin beats yet another Russian, #13 Nadia Petrova, 1-6,7-5,6-3 in the fourth round to make the quarters. She was dead in the water down a set and two breaks, but finally managed to hold serve a few times, got back into the second set, and broke Petrova's last 4 games in the third to win.

Macdougal pitching like crap essentially makes it impossible for me to win unless, say, Ichiro homers on his next 3 ABs and Aardsma gets a 2 inning save. So, now I'm hoping for the right kind of offense tonight for the Dodgers.

Even last year, the defense was efficient (5th vs. run, 10th vs. pass), they were just out there waaaay too long. -

Isner wins the tiebreaker 7-5 and wins the match. Crazy upset.

Fifth set tiebreaker to decide the Roddick-Isner match. Shame it's not on TV.

Roddick finally broke Isner with his last chance to do so in the fourth and took the set 7-5. Isner looks tired, interesting to see if he has anything left.

Melanie Oudin beat Sharapova today in 3 sets. Yet another Russian up next, #14 Nadia Petrova. Querrey lost this afternoon, and Roddick dropped the first two sets to John Isner before winning the third.

Illinois has been terrible on both sides of the ball today, so it's hard to tell either way.

In order for me to lose first place, I have to lose and Tim has to win. Right now, Tim leads by 16 and is down a start, and i trail by 9 and am down a start (although I trailed by 60 yesterday, so things are lookin up!). At least I still have a chance at this thing and I have two ways to win.

He previously had an indefinite suspension for not following team rules and was kicked out of a practice this training camp because he was out of control. There very likely was more but that's just what was mentioned last night. This wasn't just a momentary slip. He jacked his own teammate who was trying to calm him down and went altogether bazerk for 10 minutes. Yeah, given his history, this is appropriate. The ESPN gurus were saying this guy was a potential 2nd-3rd round pick. Hope he's making the most of his education. Looks like he's only going to fall 2005 yards short of his preseason guarantee for this year.

why can't bowman just stay healthy? He is right now and hopefully he stays that way, but there's still Peanut's situation to worry about. And Rod Hood didn't exactly impress. He bounced off somebody so impressively, it looked like he was a pinball. -
I'll go VT, Boise State, Illinois, and OSU.
