  1. Bulls now lead the NBA in scoring margin, finally passing the Heat.
  2. I'd be curious about the rebounding rate difference, since the Bulls are first in opposing FG percentage, leading to more misses than the average team (and defensive rebounds are a lot easier to pull down than offensive rebounds).
  3. This is clearly the most accurate gauge as to which was the better player.
  4. Possibly? Really? Can we stop acting like that team was invincible? Saying they'd lose 10/10 is pretty bad. Saying the current team would POSSIBLY take a game or two is almost as bad. They won 74% of their games against the whole league. The current Bulls are a title contender. Not league average. Yeah, the 90-91 Bulls finished right around where this Bulls team will finish up: first in conference and second in the league. They swept a terrible 8 seed, won 4 of 5 against a Philly squad very comparable to this year's Philly squad, swept a Pistons team about as good as this year's Hawks, and then won 4 of 5 against a Lakers team comparable to this year's Lakers. Hardly invincible, and in a conference with few really good teams (Boston went 56-26 to finish second in the East, every other team is worse than this year's top 5) they swept through fairly comfortably. Even that 90-91 team probably doesn't beat those Pistons 10 times out of 10, and they'd be a potential 5 seed in this year's East.
  5. Let me guess: he had sex with her and the whole time she was imagining her mansion, cars, and role on NBA wives while he was imagining the next girl, probably one of her friends, that he would have sex with in the next 24 hours. Jerk. Yeah, she likely takes that "Duke lover" thing pretty literally.

2 team have 10 games (Pirates, Twins) 19 teams have 9 games 8 teams have 8 games 1 team has 7 games (Padres) Median is 9 games, mean is closer to 9 than 8.
  7. Also, 2 more wins and he passes Bill Cartwright for 10th all time in coaching wins on the Bulls.
  8. From Dan Wetzel of Yahoo sports: ""Pearl isn't going to lie to the NCAA again. He sells tickets, wins at places w little history of doing so. Well worth any risk" No, I'm sure Pearl wouldn't dare lie to the NCAA a third time.
  9. Funny as that is, the team that Floyd got to coach was a bit different than the team that Thibs has been blessed with. That's not to diminish at all what Thibs has done, nor to provide an excuse for Floyd. Still. Funny.
  10. Congrats to Thibs for passing Tim Floyd on the all-time Bulls coaching wins list.
  11. Under a previous football regime. I have a hard time blaming too much of the responsibility of Kiffen on Tennessee. They deserve some, but her deserves more. They were talking about Illinois.
  12. He's still on the major league roster. Drop him harder.
  13. Article about the (Jereme) Richmond situation: http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/illini/article_ea43ed84-5375-11e0-8ed5-0017a4a78c22.html
  14. In what world are the Flames ahead of the Hawks?
  15. All of a sudden, though, my Big Ten homer bracket is in much better shape.
  16. I'm guessing not even he knows what the [expletive] he was doing. He's going to remember that moment for the rest of his life. Here's a thought: should Dixon have pulled his rebounders away? Butler was out of timeouts, and worst case scenario you go to OT.
  17. Even if Wisconsin wins...
  18. Here's the question I have...what the hell was that Pitt player doing swatting at the ball after Howard got position?
  19. Considering I have both SDSU and Pitt in the Final Four, this is kind of a big couple games for my bracket.
  20. And that is why you never pick up your dribble a foot in front of the backcourt.
  21. Northwestern just advanced to the third round of the NIT, which marks the best Northwestern has ever done in the postseason.
  22. Well, at least they'll get a shot at one of the best 3 teams in the tournament this year. Plus, it's not like they haven't played with anyone at that level yet, having taken Texas to OT and blowing the game against OSU. Hoping there's no six minute letdown in the second half for this one, though.
  23. Sweet 16, 1994.
  24. a record? Yeah. Here's who they beat: Alabama Arizona Baylor Dayton Delaware Detroit Duke Fairleigh Dickinson Gonzaga Indiana Iowa Kansas LSU La Salle Louisiana-Monroe Marquette Memphis Miami FL Miami-OH North Carolina Northeastern Northern Iowa Oklahoma Rhode Island Robert Morris Siena St. John's St. Peter's Texas Texas A&M UCF Washington Western Carolina Wisconsin-Green Bay So, they're good until a potential Kansas game in the elite eight.
  25. Weird stat: Purdue has 34 NCAA tournament wins now, and has never defeated the same team twice.
