Brewers might be able to catch the Marlins/Astros in the fecal league. They haven't even caught the White Sox yet.

Ball 6, really, just one was called a strike and another was fouled off.

@BMcCarthy32 "I realize now..." and right there I checked out.

It's still too early to say for sure that he's developed his approach, but the early reports look really good. I've been wanting to make the same comment, I guess you're more courageous than I am. Vitters will get a call up at some point, and if he keeps doing what he has been, I'm excited to see what he can do in his second taste of major league pitching. I have no idea what people have against him. It's not like he's 23 at low-A or 33 at AAA. he still has a shot to be an everyday major leaguer, and he's young. But BA doesn't think he's a prospect so I guess he can't be. Valbuena is young, and Valbuena is an everyday major leaguer.

Honduras next, then. Mexico-Panama and US-Honduras Wednesday.

What, you mean holding it so the defense could get there and the keeper could cut off all options wasn't the best choice?

Are people really throwing beer cups at Donovan in Baltimore?
  10. bukie
LOL, Donovan can't believe that didn't go in.
  11. bukie
    That's better, Landon.
  12. bukie
EJ comes in and scores about 5 seconds later.

Back line has been just terrible on the counter to this point.
  14. bukie
Oh, Donovan. He'll kick himself for that.

Nicely done by Corona. Defense still makes me nervous. Giving up way too many good chances.

Have we reached the "people continually post crazy overreactions to any tweet with the word 'Garza' in it" phase yet?

Awful nice of Jim to say that.

@GrantWahl 1h US Gold Cup player changes: OUT-Ashe, Gómez, McInerney, Onyewu. IN-González, Gordon, E. Johnson, Besler.

When do we find out JK's final call up's? I assume Brek is out. They have 24 hours from the end of last night's game. I'd expect at least Besler and Gonzalez would be in, with Gooch and Goodson/Parkhurst out.

Wow, Cuba got the 4th just as the officials ended the game, so they advance to face Panama, and El Salvador will play the US/Costa Rica winner.
  21. bukie
Cuba needs to win by 4 to advance, currently up on Belize 3-0 in the 88th minute.
  22. bukie
Could be seeing a lot of Costa Rica over the next six weeks.

Switch WC from Ellsbury to Domonic Brown.

Finding each NL team's arch-nemesis player: http://www.baseballnation.com/2013/4/26/4271184/national-league-team-killers-arch-nemeses The player who most terrorized another team in his career? Jim Thome vs. the Cardinals. In 131 PA, he put up a .430/.565/1.010 (for an OPS of 1.575) against them with 18 HRs and a 223 tOPS+. Oh, and the Cubs' nemesis? Mark McGwire.

how about Olt playing first and Rizzo getting dealt That's probably a less likely scenario than Profar coming over in the deal and Castro getting dealt.
