  1. Yes.
  2. Well, there's the violations at Tennessee, too. That's kind of vital to the backstory of what a douche he is. Those Tennessee violations happen at every single program multiple times per year. He got caught and lied is basically the only difference. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.
  3. Hopefully they make it to 3rd best team in the SEC before the sanctions.
  4. This is the base order, but I'm not sure who traded what picks. 1. The Process - Kris Bryant, CHC 2. NSBB via Bazingas 3. Lynx 4. Chicken of Sea 5. Harry's Budcrew 6. Alamo Stealth 7. Quakers 8. Cucamonga Cracker Killers 9. Ron Washington's Dealers 10. Mighty D-Block 11. Galesburg Hand Sanitizers 12. Scioscia's Tragic Illness 13. Kid Rodelo 14. Northside Baseball 15. Theocracy 16. Calvinball EDIT: The only first round prospect pick I see getting traded was #2 overall. If I missed others, let me know. That means Tim is up.
  5. Nate Silver being all Nate Silver on the NCAA tournament: http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/nate-silvers-ncaa-basketball-predictions/
  6. This is usually why I build my bracket backwards, starting with the champ and working back from there.
  7. it's funny to me that espn invents bpi and then proceeds to act like it matters. I don't think Gasaway cares much for BPI either. http://johngasaway.com/2014/03/17/what-we-talk-about-when-we-talk-about-building-brackets/#more-1164
  8. @JohnGasaway And give the NCAA credit. To still be using the RPI in 2014 is a remarkable piece of inertia. It's not easy to be that inert.
  9. Yeah, ESPN's interviews with Larry Brown and Steve Lavin were priceless.
  10. PSU, Oregon State and Texas A&M to the CBI with...a bunch of other crap. IU probably refused to play anywhere but the NIT and NCAA.
  11. Is that just based on NIT one and two seeds? Because I thought the NIT does some wacky things with seeding so that a 1 seed doesn't necessarily mean it was the closest to NCAAs The NCAA manages both now, so since the NIT is seeded as well I'd imagine it's just a continuation of NCAA seeds. Illinois will play on the road as far as they go, though, since their arena is being renovated.
  12. Yes, far as I know I've been on autodraft all weekend.
  13. Oh man, these interviews with the NIT 1 seed coaches. Larry Brown was in shock, Steve Lavin was saying everything he could to avoid saying how the NIT sucks. EDIT: Brown had a press conference at the stadium where everyone had gathered to celebrate their NCAA bid. Brown: "I don't want to hear anyone complaining about where we are. It is what it is." Lavin, on the other hand, was a phone interview, and all he had to say was "Well, my father was in the NIT back when it was a very respected tournament..."
  14. Last 4 out: Minnesota, Florida State, St. John's, SMU Next four out: California, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia
  15. Yeah, they're in the NIT, just not sure where. They can't host at all though.
  16. Maybe NIT discussion as well since making it have its own thread is silly. Right now, I have Florida, Louisville, Arizona, and MSU in my Final Four. I also have a difficult time not having the top 4 seeds in the Sweet 16 in the Midwest region.
  17. As far as the NIT goes, there are a record 13 bids that will automatically be given to conference champions that didn't make the NCAAs (Green Bay, Louisiana Tech, Vermont, Iona, Belmont, Davidson, Georgia State, UC Irvine, Boston U, Robert Morris, Florida Gulf Coast, Utah Valley, High Point). And that doesn't even include SWAC champ Southern, who is ineligible. That leave 19 bids for the rest of the slags that didn't make the "real" tourney. Going by my data, that would be: SMU Florida State St. John's Utah Southern Miss Illinois Clemson Minnesota Maryland Missouri Arkansas Marquette Georgetown Cal West Virginia LSU Georgia Indiana Toledo
  18. Iowa certainly fell down an elevator shaft the past 3 weeks.
  19. 3 of the top 4 seeds in the Midwest region were in the Final Four last year.
  20. NC State was so far off the radar I didn't even include them on the at-large potential list initially.
  21. Whoever from the AAC was pitching to the committee needs to learn to be much better at it next year.
  22. East: Virginia, Villanova, MSU, Iowa State, Cincinnati, UConn, UNC, Memphis, George Washington, Harvard, St. Joe's... ...The American only has 1 team placed so far (Louisville).
  23. Huh. Iowa and Tennessee BARELY in.
  24. NC State what.
  25. Nebraska and BYU in. Remainder of bubbles nervous.
