  1. Generally, when the opponent is trying to run out the clock, you should expect run plays.
  2. Punting with 5 minutes left in a 10 point game, and the punt goes about 30 yards...that should just about do it.
  3. And it's a 10 point game. Not sure Illinois has 3 scoring drives left in them.
  4. Ugh, Illinois had LT stopped on 3rd down at midfield, but the QB fumbled and Illinois D picked it up and brought it back, only to fumble it back to LT. Change of possession gives LT a fresh set of downs, and the next play is a 70 yard pass to the 3.
  5. 21-18 now. Illinois has over 400 yards of offense and 18 points.
  6. At this point, just let McDermott heal up and give him some more time to spell Butler in games. He's the wing shooter they're lacking at this point, just needs minutes and time.
  7. Because when you get a chance to pull a game within 4 points midway through the 3rd quarter, you just gotta go for 2. In fairness to Illinois' coaches, if I saw the kicking game I saw in the first half, I'd go for 2 every time also.
  8. After another botched extra point.
  9. It's weird, Illinois feels in complete control of this game, yet they're losing 21-9 because of a bad throw and the worst kicking game I've ever seen.
  10. I hope he puts up the same exact line as Clausen minus the pick and still watch the meatballs meatball. And a loss obviously. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk But that would be his lowest offensive output of the year.
  11. I generally dislike Michigan, but the Austin Hatch story is great. Good on them.
  12. Because statistics are still fun right now: Player A- 16.6 points on .434% from the field and .355% from 3, 10.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, .5 blocks, 1.8 TO, Usage 20.8%, PER 18.0, TS% .568, WS/48 .153, ORtg 114, DRtg 106. Player B- 16.0 points on .449% from the field and .408% from 3, 10.1 rebounds 2.2 assists, 1.5 blocks, 1.6 TO, Usage 18.2%, PER 18.1, TS% .618, WS/48 .202, ORtg 121, DRtg 101.
  13. Bulls front court tandem efficiency: Gasol-Noah: +3.6 (354 minutes) Gasol-Gibson: +10.0 (251 minutes) Gasol-Mirotic: +0.5 (179 minutes) Gibson-Mirotic: +11.4 (139 minutes) Noah-Gibson: -9.8 (129 minutes) Noah-Mirotic: +14.5 (119 minutes)
  14. The Knicks have now tied the Sixers for the worst record in the NBA.
  15. The Bulls have an entire team of above average offensive performers, save one rotation player. Kirk Hinrich, who averages 28 minutes a game. Hinrich has a total Value Added point total of -26.4 points on the year, meaning that if he played zero minutes, the Bulls would have been 26 points better. That puts him 436th out of a total of 442 players that have played in NBA games this year.
  16. The Bulls are now 7th in the league in offensive efficiency (behind Dallas, Toronto, LAC, Golden State, Cleveland and New Orleans), and 10th in defensive efficiency (behind Golden State, Houston, Portland, Washington, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Atlanta, Memphis and Indiana).
  17. The Bulls scored 49 points in 28 possessions in the 4th quarter last night, for an offensive efficiency of 175, which is kind of insane. EDIT: Also, they took just 20 shots in the 4th (lots of FTs, where they were 43-47 (!) from the line)
  18. Wow indeed 2.5 years left and close to $34 million that they will eat for him not to play for Detroit What on earth. Josh Smith was 119th.
  19. There have been only 3 pitchers in MLB history (not currently active) to average over 10 K's per 9 innings over their entire career (and pitched over 1000 innings). Can you name them?
  20. Of the 120 players that have shot enough to qualify, Kobe Bryant is 117th in both shooting percentage and true shooting percentage.
  21. The Saints are now eliminated from playoff contention.
  22. Right, because it's the semantics that are the issue here. The mere fact that he responded in tow implies he took it as a challenge, but thank goodness Kyle is here to nitpick semantic flaws to get to the heart of the issues.
  23. That reminds me of the knee-jerk derision of anyone who dares to criticize a move the Cubs FO makes. Sip the kool-aid or get lost. I know people sometimes refer to Japan as being on a different planet, but you may be surprised to learn that everyone challenging your opinions isn't automatically on drugs or following group think, despite how constantly hypocritical you are on the subject.
  24. That basically sums up Derwood in a sentence.
