Well, hating a team because of something an outside person does is pretty weird to me. Deciding to like a team because of one player is also very strange. To be honest I don't get Rockford being split, either. That city is well within the Illinois border, and Chicago is much, much closer than Green Bay. Those people have no more claim to being Packers than someone living in Philly would have rooting for NY. And Wisconsin doesn't care if Rockford people root for the Pack. They hate Rockford. It's Illinois. You're all FIBs to them. It wasn't just an outside person. It was quite a number of people. And the [expletive] that I got that year for going 4-12 while the Bears won the division was ridiculous. I was getting [expletive] from people that were so called Packer fans the year before. What the hell is that [expletive] about? I've always been a gracious winner and never been the type to rub it in. I've done absolutely no gloating whatsoever this week but if the Bears won that game, I'd never be able to live it down. I guess that's my fault, but the point remains. I'm not going to stop liking the Packers just because "Wisconsin hates people from Illinois." Not really quite sure how you feel towards a particular team, but I've had emotional and vested interest in the Packers since I was 5. I'm not going to, all of a sudden, feel differently towards a team and just become a Bears fan.
