The MLB network is so freaking bad. I briefly saw a 30 clubs in 30 days episode, I can't remember which team. Harlod Renyolds unloaded this gem (parahprasing), "In order to be more consistent they need to get better as a team". What the [expletive] is that supposed to mean? And it's still much better than any of the baseball programming on ESPN.

I honestly do not know anything about Turgeon or his commitment to A&M. I know he has turned them into a power in the Big XII. I would not classify Arkansas as rebuilding. They had the talent to win the woeful SEC-West this year and have a top 5 recruiting class coming in. It is a place where a coach can win very quickly, but I just don't know if I trust the AD to get the right guy. If and when Illinois finally gets rid of Weber, Turgeon would be near the top of my list. He's a pretty good coach. Brad Stevens.

Now I'm a little nervous. I don't have any 4 seeds advancing past the first weekend. This is going to be an ugly bracket. How? The 4 seeds are all underseeded (Louisville is the closest), and the 5 seeds are all overseeded (WVU the closest to being correct). Other than that, Utah State is by far the best of the 12 seeds and hasn't won a tournament game since the Truman administration, Clemson is easily the second best 12 seed and has to win a game just to play the toughest 5, and Belmont, the best 13 seed, is a team I'd take against any 5, but not these 4s. EDIT: The most plausible non-4 winning pod I see is Wisconsin-Belmont-KSU-Utah State, and that's because the moronic committee gave Utah State a huge geographical advantage. I have UK losing to WVU, Wisconsin and Texas losing in the first round and Louisville losing to Richmond.

Went to the gym after the first period and came back to see that we were up 6-3. Yeah, that'll work. Huge win to the start of this big week.

The power play has really been abysmal lately. It seems like we're giving the opponent more chances than we're getting with the man advantage.

First go-through. Final Four: UNC, Duke, Kansas, BYU Surprise 16: Xavier, Richmond, MSU Surprise 8: Butler Upsets in First Round: Missouri, Florida State, Richmond, Morehead State, Belmont, and Oakland I have quite a few first round upsets, but I have largely chalk in my Elite Eight besides Butler, which is concerning.

I find it hard to feel bad for teams like Colorado and Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech especially because the reason why they missed the tournament in previous years was because they didn't schedule anybody out of conference. Start scheduling teams out of conference. There, that wasn't so difficult.

I think Illinois was better last year and they were comfortably in this season, while they were NIT-bound last year.

I like Belmont and Utah State. I'd strongly consider Oakland over Texas too.
