  1. With Driver getting up there in age and Jones possibly being let go in the offseason, another WR would certainly come in handy for a team that relies heavily on its playmakers. I could see us going with a defensive lineman here, but I'm going to stick with a guy that should be able to properly replace Driver once he hangs it up. Packers select Jon Baldwin out of Pitt.
  2. You guys have more power than me after what we just witnessed last night. I need a hiatus from college hoops.
  3. Nantz said the same thing.
  4. I still have no idea who the [expletive] Frank Haith is.
  5. I agree. We usually have fits against Arizona, but I think we see double-digit Cubs runs today. Who the hell are you?
  6. That 8 game winning streak is looking more and more like an anomaly. They've largely been a .500 team all season long despite that winning streak and as soon as the streak ends, they've gone back to a .500 team. It would sure be nice if we had Sharp ready to go in Montreal. The worst part about our losses is that it seems like we can't even get a point out of them. Meanwhile, the competing teams in the playoff race seem like they're getting at least a point more often than not. All I wanted last night was to get a point and we couldn't accomplish that. Frustrating.
  7. johnhollinger: Rose Army blowing up my inbox. Didn't see it; Bulls-Raps not on my A list. Will likely move into top 10 PER in tomorrow, possibly up to 7.
  8. Looks like the boys are in midseason form already.
  9. Of course they didn't. I can't complain, though. We didn't have any business winning tonight as Columbus thoroughly outplayed us after the first five minutes in the game. I'll definitely take those two points tonight.
  10. Yea... would be nice if we could have like a sunny 70 degree day on opening day for once... We certainly didn't have one of those last year. OH WAIT What's a "last year?"
  11. I'd say the games against Columbus and STL are games we absolutely have to win. Dallas has two tough games at Los Angeles and Anaheim this weekend, but their schedule next week is pretty easy compared to ours. Just win tonight.
  12. The problem with Hollinger is he continues to ignore the fact that Rose's defense has definitely improved this season. I thought he was one of the worst defenders in the league his rookie season, but his improvement on that side of the ball is definitely one that stands out this year. As long as he continues to ignore that and pretends that Rose's defense is still extremely bad, I can't listen to a word he says.
  13. A: Pujols B: Hamilton, Fielder C: Pena, Hanley, Braun D: Posey, Heyward, Alexei Ramirez, Victor Martinez, Youkilis WC: Will PM to you
  14. I've missed that show for about seven years now.
  15. I feel like I am in some bizarro world. Holy hell when did Butler become the Yankees? Best basketball program in the state of Indiana.
  16. Thankfully we won last night. I'd say Friday is pretty close to another must-win situation. You have to take care of business against Columbus and STL down the stretch.
  17. 19-1 run for the Heat to close within 5, and it's still in the 3rd quarter.
  18. hey, go Scott Skiles huh???????? That guy is an offensive wizard.
  19. If we just got off to an average start, we would've won this game. The effort at the beginning of the game was about as bad as I've seen from us all year long.
  20. I was relieved we were able to snatch a point after regulation ended. Getting that penalty right before the end of regulation was obviously huge. Gigantic win tonight. I'll be feeling really good if we can somehow win tomorrow night.
  21. What the [expletive] is this garbage? 13 points against the Sixers after 1?
  22. Detroit's only playing for seeding. We're playing for our lives. If we don't win 2 of 3 against Detroit down the stretch, we won't make the playoffs. Quite frankly, we wouldn't deserve to make the playoffs if we lose 2 of 3 to them.
  23. Few has never taken Gonzaga as far as Stevens has taken Butler the past couple seasons. Plus for every Mark Few there are 10 other guys who went on to bigger and better programs (in theory). Few's done it for 12 seasons, Stevens for 4. The point is, not every guy is looking to jump to the next spot. You honestly think teams with openings last year didn't inquire about Stevens? 99% of guys that aren't looking to jump to a bigger spot are already in one of the biggest spots--they're not in Butler. Hell, even K is linked to the Lakers every time that job opens up. Sure there are guys like Mark Few but that's the exception that proves the rule. I believe that Stevens is the exception to the rule too. If one of the high profile jobs becomes available, then sure I could see him leaving. If Painter were to actually leave Purdue, I can't see Stevens going to Purdue either.
  24. I'm not really sure if he was ever in our plans for 2011 and beyond anyway. I think after he was suspended the entire season this past year, that kind of signaled the end of his career in Green Bay. It's unfortunate that he's an idiot because I think he's a pretty good football player.
