  1. Iowa wins game 2, 7-0. Williams pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just 5 hits, 0 BB's, 0 runs, and struck out 2. Why isn't he starting over Ryan O'Malley? Buck Coats was 1/2 with his 5th HR of the season, 2 RBI's, 1 BB, and 2 runs scored. Soto was 1/3 with his 2nd HR of the season, 2 RBI's, and a run scored. Fontenot was 1/3 with a double, and Felix, Hoffpauir, and Ojeda were each 1/3. Daytona down 4-0 in the bottom of the 2nd. They are currently in a rain delay right now. Go figure :P Sotolongo through 2: 5 hits, 4 ER's, 3 BB's, 1 K. In other AAA news, Tucson is leading Salt Lake by a score of 26-4
  2. Soriano is also a FA, but he'll probably move back to the IF next year.
  3. Pie doubled following a strikeout by Williams to start the 5th. After a Fontenot K, Buck Coats walked, which set up Restovich hitting a 3-run homer to give Iowa a 7-0 lead :D
  4. IMO, he's going to be re-signed, especially if Hendry is not fired. The leadoff man is one of the most important things for him on a ballclub, and with Pierre's AVG soaring, there's no way he will let Pierre go after the season.
  5. Restovich walked in the 4th and Soto homered driving in Restovich as well. 4-0 Iowa after 4. Williams' line: 4 IP, 3 hits, 0 ER's, 0 BB's, 2 K's.
  6. Fontenot doubled and Buck Coats homered to give Iowa a 2-0 lead in the 1st :)

Theriot was 1/5 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Obviously a lot of offense for the I-Cubs in game 1. Let's hope the offense is just as good in game 2. Peoria lost 4-0. 9. Make it 4 ER's for Guzman as Walrond allows a grand slam. 8-6 Iowa after 4 1/2.
  10. Iowa up 3-0 after 1. Sounds like a rough start for Samardzija
  11. IMO, if the Sox want Soriano, they would have to at least part with Anderson and Broadway.
  12. Jaxx win 2-1. Mathes pitched only 4 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, 2 BB's, and struck out 2. Brownlie pitched 2 innings in relief and only gave up 2 hits, 0 runs, and 1 BB.
