  1. St. Louis' pitching seems to go in some pretty awful spurts.
  2. No Theriot and no Murton. I can gurantee I'll pass on this one.
  3. Daytona's game was postponed.
  4. 1996 was very fun. Even though I was in 3rd grade, I knew everything about the Packers that year. Fun times.
  5. NO!!!! Why involve the Padres?? And Howry for Vazquez or Garcia I would not do. I would demand Broadway and Fields in return for Howry. I have a hard time believing the Sox would give up their two top prospects for a middle reliever.
  6. Dang, I loved Griffin in Dallas and was hoping we'd resign him. Great defensive player and has a nice mid-range jumper. Will be great in the clubhouse. Nice signing for you guys. He was a very likeable guy when he was with us in 04-05. A great leader and a very good defensive player. Everyone in the locker room liked Griffin and he does give it his all every night. Supposedly the 2nd and 3rd years of the deal are team options, which I'm assuming the Bulls would of course pick up both years barring something unpredictable happening.
  7. Bulls sign Adrian Griffin for 3 years. Obviously not expecting much from Griff besides his veteran leadership, but his defense is very top-notch and he is definitely a Skiles-type player. With this year's team, I'm expecting him to get limited minutes, but it's still a good signing by Pax. I still can't believe all the depth that we have on our roster for this coming season.
  8. Iowa FINALLY wins, 5-4 in 17, although it did get a bit close in the bottom of the 17th. Eric Reed led off the inning with a leadoff double off of Rapada. Aardsma then came in and promptly gave up an RBI single. The next batter singled on a line drive to Felix. He got a bit greedy and was thrown out by Pie for the first out of the inning. The runner at 1st did move up to 3rd however. Aardsma left the tying run at 3rd though by striking out the next 2 batters to end the game.
  9. Montanez with a 2-run homer to put Iowa up 5-3 in the 17th!
  10. Rapada with a very quick 16th inning. 2 IP, 1 hit, 1 BB, 2 K's. Not a bad outing for Clay.
  11. I hate you I hate you I hate you This is equivalent to me as someone being a Cardinals fan in Chi-town. I'm eyeing someone in particular here. If there is a God, the Pack will have to go through a few more years of bad football before being good again-------just like everyone else. I think they'll be bad at least another 2-3 years. At least. I'm guessing they're bad for awhile as well. I don't think much of ANY team in the division, and watch all the Bears fans jump on me now  Agreed with this. The Bears defense is great, blah blah blah. Unless you're the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, you need some form of offense and the Bears really haven't upgraded their offense to make their team a Super Bowl-caliber team.
  12. Make it 0 for 8 on the night for Felix :(
  13. Iowa to the 16th. Only bench player left for Iowa is Coats. Iowa has Aardsma, Emanuel, Williams, and Wuertz in the pen still, so they are in good shape compared to Albuqerque who I believe is on their final reliever.
  14. Too bad he won't make a start in Kane County the following week :(
  15. Jaxx lose 6-2. Baez pitched 4 allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 3 BB's, and struck out 4. Brownlie was tagged with the loss as he went 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 ER, 2 BB's, and struck out 3. Vasquez pitched an inning allowing 2 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB. Cherry pitched an inning allowing 3 hits, 2 ER's, 0 BB's, and struck out 2. EPatt was 2/4 with a homer, and RBI, a walk, a run. Dopirak was 2/4 with two doubles and an RBI. Jackson and Richie were 1/4 and Baez even added a hit. Iowa goes to extra innings, tied at 3.
  16. All Hill did in the 7th was strike out the side rather easily. How about sending him down to Daytona?
  17. Hill allowed 2 runs in the 6th raising his ERA up to 1.89. Demote him Hendry. Daytona won game 2 of the doubleheader, 7-4. Norton started and pitched an inning and 2/3's allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 3 BB's, and struck out 1. Johnson pitched an inning and 1/3 allowing 2 hits, 3 runs, 3 BB's, and struck out 2. Hunton picked up the win as he went 2 and 2/3's allowing just 1 hit, 1 walk, no runs, and struck out 2. Schappert picked up his 6th save as he went an inning and a third, only allowing one hit. Harvey had a good 2nd game, continuing from his great 1st game, as he went 2/3 with a solo homer and 2 runs scored. Matt Craig was 2/3 with a 2 run homer and 2 runs scored. Alan Rick was 2/3 with 1 HR, 3 RBI's, a double, and a run scored. Simokaitis doubled and Ciaramella doubled as well. West Tenn down 4-2 after 7.
  18. I'm sorry guys, I've been laughing this whole inning. This is just too funny.
  19. Daytona down 4-2 in the bottom of the 4th. Matt Craig hit his 10th homer in the 1st. Jaxx are up 2-0 in the bottom of the 2nd on a leadoff homer by EPatt, his 6th, and an RBI double by Dope in the 1st.
  20. fixed. hell no... this is ESPN, they should be talking about sports I guess ESPN shouldn't be talking about horse racing and golf then either. I'm not going to get into another argument with you about this seeing this is the game thread and all.
