  1. My box score has Clearwater up 8-3. Mendez came in after Holliman and gave up 3 unearned runs and a long ball.
  2. RBI single by Ciaramella in the 4th ties the game at 3 :)
  3. Holliman gave up 3 runs (1 unearned) to Clearwater in the first, but has held them scoreless the last 2 innings. Sam Fuld hit a 2-run homer in the 3rd to make it a 3-2 Clearwater lead after 3.
  4. RBI double wins it for Tucson :x
  5. Fontenot walks. Bases loaded for McGehee.
  6. Walrond's "masterful" 11th: Groundout to the pitcher, single, HBP, force out at 2nd...runners at 1st and 3rd. Donnie Sadler took 2nd on defensive indifference. Walrond then walked Chris Carter loading the bases for Alberto Callaspo. He grounded out to short to end the inning. Uh, nice job Les
  7. Baltimore and KC isn't that insane. Luckily for the Sox, that could be right what the doctor ordered.
  8. Wow, what a 10th by Walrond. He gave up a leadoff triple to Donnie Sadler. After getting a strike out, they intentionally walked the next batter to get to Chris Young. Young flew out to shallow RF and Sadler could not score from home. The runner at 1st did tag up to 2nd however. They then put on Scott Hairston with an intentional walk before finally getting Robby Hammock to ground into a force out to end the inning. So after all that, the game is still tied as they head to the 11th in Tucson :)
  9. Congrats Mark! Ligtenberg got by Tucson in the 9th. After giving up a leadoff single to Robby Hammock, he then got a force out and struck out the final 2 batters to end the 9th. Iowa's offense went 3 up, 3 down in the top of the 10th. Walrond is now on to pitch the bottom of the 10th.
  10. And to the bottom of the 9th we go in Tucson. Ligtenberg in for the I-Cubs with the score all tied up at 3.
  11. Iowa scored one more in the 8th, thanks to an error that allowed Montanez to reach. With one out in the 9th, Buck Coats doubled, followed by Deardorff reaching on another error; this time by Casey Daigle. Hoffpauir then hit an RBI single to tie the game at 3 :) Still 2 on for the I-Cubs with only 1 out in the 9th.
  12. Deardorff singled, Hoffpauir walked, and Soto drove in Deardorff on an RBI double to start the 8th for Iowa. Montanez pinch hitting as Tucson makes a pitching change.
  13. Even worse, they've yet to muster a baserunner :?
  14. Chiefs win 11-4! Rayborn pitched a scoreless 9th, only allowing a hit and he also struck one out.
  15. Daytona's second game was postponed.
  16. Yeah, we definitely deserved that. That's what you get for having Glendon Rusch on your major league roster.
  17. Huge win indeed for the Jaxx. Good outing for Mateo after bouncing back from that 3-run 2nd as well.
  18. Jaxx take a 6-4 lead in the 9th on a 3-run homer by Richard Lewis with 2 outs! Talk about clutch!
  19. Iowa loses 10-7 :( Pignatiello went an inning and 2/3's only allowing 1 hit. Shipman pitched a scoreless 8th, only allowing one walk and striking out 1. Nashville won in 10 innings, so Iowa is now back to 3.5 games out of first.

Matulia went 1/3 with 1 HR, 4 RBI's, 1 walk, and 2 runs scored. Canepa was 2/4 with 2 runs scored. Clevenger was 1/4 as he added a double and a single. Camp, Joseph, and Lewis were all 1/4. Colvin was 1/5 with a run scored and a K. Canzler was the only player to not get a hit tonight. Iowa down 10-7 in the 7th. Unfortunately, Randy Wells did not have that great of a start. He only went 4 innings, allowing 10 hits, 5 runs, 3 BB's, struck out 2, and allowed 4 homers. Brandom Emanuel was not any better as he allowed 5 hits, 5 runs, 1 BB, and struck out 2 in an inning and a third. Pignatiello is pitching right now. Restovich hit his 17th homer of the season in the 4th. Soto hit his 3rd homer in the 6th. Fontenot has added a pair of doubles tonight and an RBI. Teasley was charged with the loss as he allowed 5 hits, 6 runs, 2 BB's, and struck out 1 in just an inning and 2/3's. Layden pitched 2 and a third allowing 2 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB's, and struck out 1. Sam Fuld and Matt Craig were each 2/4 with two doubles. Alan Rick was 3/4 with a double and 2 RBI's. Simokaitis and Sprowl were 1/4 with an RBI apiece. Peoria lost 10-0. Yepez's final line: 6.0 IP, 9 hits, 4 ER's, 3 BB's, 5 K's. Koerber pitched an inning allowing 2 hits, 2 ER's, 0 BB's, and struck out 1. Avery pitched an inning and allowed 3 hits, 4 ER's, 1 BB, and struck out 1. Peoria only had 5 hits tonight and no extra-base hits. Kyle Reynolds, Jesus Valdez, Ryne Malone, and Mark Reed were all 1/4. Ryan Norwood was 1/3 with a BB. Boise is scoreless through 2 1/2. Iowa already leads 1-0 in the 1st on a leadoff single by Felix, followed by an RBI double by Fontenot.
  22. After 6, Daytona now trails 6-4. Veal was done after 5: 4 hits, 1 run, 3 BB's, and 9 K's. Teasley came in for the 6th and cost Veal the win: 4 hits, 5 ER's, 1 BB, and 1 K :x Jaxx down 3-0 in the 6th. Shaver: 5 IP, 7 hits, 3 ER's, 6 BB's, 3 K's.
