DeJesus sounds interesting. The only problem with that is that I fear KC will want everything and the kitchen sink for DeJesus. Other than that, I'd like to at least inquire about him.

Mesa scored 4 in the 9th, but lost 8-6. Kyle Holden took the loss as he didn't even make it out of the 1st inning. He gave up 1 hit, 5 walks, 5 ER's, and struck out 1 in 2/3's of an inning. Renshaw pitched 3 1/3, allowing 4 hits, 2 ER's, 0 BB's, and struck out 2. Ceda made his first apperance and did a good job...2 innings, 1 hit, 0 ER's, 1 BB, 4 K's. Greibal Cuevas novas pitched the final 2 innings and allowed 2 hits, 1 unearned run, 1 BB, and struck out 4. Jeremy Williams went 2/5 with a double, a triple, 2 RBI's, and scored a run. Vanderhook went 3/5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Marwin Gonzalez went 2/5 with an RBI. Clifford Andersen went 2/4 with a run scored. Luther Murphy and Wilson Inoa both added singles. Nashville lost 7-0...Iowa is now just 1.5 out of first :)

I've been on the Wood for closer bandwgn ever since this latest setback...glad to see that he wants to go to the pen next season. Can you imagine a pen with Wood as the closer, and with Dempster/Eyre/Howry as the setup men? That's a pretty sweet looking pen.

Jaxx lose 6-4 :( Mathes went 7, allowing 8 hits, 3 ER's, 2 BB's, and struck out 3. Brownlie sucked as usual, going 2/3's of an inning, giving up 2 hits, 3 ER's, and walking 1. Vasquez pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits, and walking 1, but didn't allow a run. Holdzkom pitched the 9th and allowed 2 hits, but no runs. Jake Fox had a nice night going 2/4 with a double, a homer, 3 RBI's, a walk, and a run scored. Chris Walker went 3/5 and was just a homer shy of the cycle. EPatt was 1/4 with an RBI, a BB, and his 37th SB of the season. Lewis was 2/5 with a run scored and a stolen base. Scott Moore and Brandon Sing both singled. Mesa down 7-2 in the 4th.

Peoria won 6-2. Taylor pitched a complete game, as he gave up 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, walked none, and struck out 6. Chirinos was 3/4 with a single, a double, and a triple. He had 3 RBI's, and scored 2 runs. Valdez also had 3 hits. Ryne Malone went 2/5 with 1 run scored. Ryan Norwood, Yusuf, and Mark Reed all went 1/4. Norwood had a walk, and Reed had 2 RBI's. Lilly went 1/3 with a BB, and Davy Gregg went 1/5. Iowa won 7-3. Guzman only went the 1st inning (still don't know what happened), and gave up 2 hits and struck out 1. Chavez had a good outing as he got the win. He went 5 innings giving up 2 hits, 2 ER's, walked 4, and struck out 1. Brandon Emanuel pitched the 7th and 8th, and only allowed 1 hit while striking out 1. Aardsma pitched the 9th and gave up 2 hits, 1 ER, and struck out 1. Buck Coats was 3/4 with his 6th HR of the season, and a double. He had 2 RBI's as well. Felix was 2/3 with a double, a BB, and a run scored. Fontenot went 2/3 with two doubles, 1 RBI, 1 BB, and 3 runs scored. Montanez was 2/4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Restovich and Hoffpauir each had 2 hits as well.

Daytona lost 6-2. Holliman went 5 2/3's, allowing 13 hits, 4 ER's, 1 BB, and struck out 4. Hunton pitched 2 and a third, allowing 3 hits, 2 ER's, 0 BB's, and struck out 1. Simokaitis was 3/4 with a run scored. Jemel Spearman was 1/4 with an RBI. Ciaramella and Price each went 1/3. Culpepper was 1/4. Harvey did not play tonight. Peoria is tied at 2 after 5. Jaxx down 3-1 in the bottom of the 6th. Iowa up 6-2 in the 5th.

what happened to that guy anyway? I've been wondering the same thing. He pitched in two games for Daytona early in the year, then was assigned to extended Spring Training. 21 national TV apperances this season. 4th most in the NBA. I can certainly live with that :D Yeah, living at school in the fall we don't get Comcast Sportsnet. Therefore, the more national TV appearances the better. Yeah, I feel your pain on that one. I'm not going to have CSN either when I go to school, so with 1/4 of the games on national TV, plus all of the games that are on WGN, I'm hoping to see at least 41 games this year.

We had Izturis' clone in the 2 hole all through the 2005 season and the results were terrible. It cost DLee a shot at the MVP. It sure will be fun having Izzy in the 2 hole for all of 2007. May as well eliminate DLee from MVP consideration right now. When I went to the Dodgers game, he was rightfully batting 8th. Why can't Dusty just think for a minute? On a lighter note, my cousins here* were really upset to hear that Izzy was traded! My 9 year old cousin: He's the best shortstop in the National League! Jim Hendry? I mean Liriano spent about what 4-6 weeks in the pen before joining the rotation, why don't they put McCarthy in?? Even if he struggles, you're better off w/ a young guy getting an ass-whuppon than some unproductive veteren getting the ass-whuppon. The answer is simple. The Sox invested one of, if not, their best prospect in Chris Young, as well as Luis Vizcaino for Vazquez...they are paying the guy over $10 million this year to be a starter, not a reliever. A $10 million reliever? Yeah, that's basically saying how crappy the move really was. The Twins had holes in their rotation...besides Santana and Radke, their rotation was pretty crappy coming into this season. It was pretty simple to insert Liriano into the rotation. With McCarthy, he's pitched in the bullpen the entire year this year and his arm isn't stretched out. You just can't insert him in the middle of the season and say, "Oh go out there and give me 7 innings." The White Sox bullpen has been overtaxed the last week or so too from what I have heard, so inserting a rookie into the rotation, who can go at most 4 innings, isn't the most brilliant idea in the world. Finally, I don't blame Williams for not giving up McCarthy. Bowden's asking price was pretty ridiculous...he declined a pretty nice deal from the Angels and his asking price for Soriano didn't go the slightest bit down when teams made it clear they weren't going to give up their top or 2nd best prospect to get a 2 month rental. What ol' Jay is forgetting is the Sox stayed quiet at the deadline last year even though they were rumored to add AJ Burnett/Jason Schmidt/Ken Griffey Jr. I think they ended up alright. They have some holes at SP, but like I said, you can't put McCarthy in this late in the season. Zito wasn't really available, Williams doesn't have a good relationship with Boras, and Jason Schmidt wasn't available. The Sox didn't really need to make a move on offense as they've been able to score runs the entire year. As you can see, I love disagreeing with Moronotti and I'll do everything to prove his point(s) wrong :P

Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I feel bad for Jacque..he definitely deserves better than the treatment that he has received this season.
