  1. Ouch. What a list  That's the walking definition of being the tallest midget.
  2. Its ruined football?
  3. Interesting...real interesting.
  4. NIU allows 69 points against a Division III school, but wins 84-69. Looks like the defense for the Huskies is once again going to be their downfall this year... Illinois up 61-50 with a little under 7 to play.
  5. Illinois now leads 52-43 at the media timeout with under 12 to play. As Raisin mentioned, Kansas is now down by 11 to ORU!
  6. Illinois goes on a nice run in the final 4 minutes of the first half and ties the game at 34 at halftime. #3 Kansas is trailing Oral Roberts, 39-34 at half.
  7. Wow...Illinois is down to Jackson State, 31-21 with 4:30 left in the first half. Ugh
  8. Thanks for the update. Any GM with a clue would've signed Lugo for either 2B or SS and would've passed on DeRosa. It's almost as if Hendry remembered Lugo was on the FA market right after he signed DeRosa. I like what I'm hearing about Soriano, but I'm a little disappointed that there is still no mention of Drew to the Cubs at all.
  9. Down 4 to UNC with under 5 left. On ESPN for those interested. Now a 10 point game. Winthrop is really starting to show that they are playing on back-to-back nights. Still they are going to be a very dangerous team this year and they will probably pull off an upset or two come March.
  10. Not really. Your link doesn't work. :P Should be good to go now.
  11. I didn't know what thread to post this in, but I mind as well do it here. At http://www.store.reebok.com you can get 40% off from today until Sunday of any apparel, be it jerseys, hats, etc. All you have to do is enter 598839 at the checkout. See, Packers fans are good for something
  12. Not entirely sure because Loyola is supposed to be the favorite in the Horizon. Dickie V said that Butler got two first place votes for the Horizon conference, but Butler also received a last place vote. Supposedly, they are going to be real good, or real bad. So far, they're definitely leaning towards the 'good' direction.
  13. I would be fine dealing Eyre. Me too. He'd probably be near the top of the list of guys I'd be willing to trade. Same here. He's on the top of the list of the bullpen that I would move. Actually I'd be more than willing to move any of those guys, with maybe the exception of Howry and Wuertz, if it could net us a good starting pitcher or a quality outfielder.
  14. I'd rather sign your boy Weaver than Meche. And that's saying something.
  15. I don't mind Blanco, but why would you give him a 2 year deal worth $2.5 million a year AND a mutual option for 2009? I would have gave him a 1 year deal worth probably $1-1.25 million. He's not the youngest guy in the world, so I really don't understand the concept of signing a guy his age to a multi-year deal when you have a capable backup catcher in Soto who would be making the minimum. But otherwise, great job Hendry.
  16. Deng is coming into his own, and it's nice to see. He has greater potential than anyone on our team, maybe with the exception of Tyrus. Really though, I'm not worried about Nocioni and Gordon. Look at their first two years; they are both notoriously slow starters. I remember how frustrated I was with Noc after the first couple of games last year and Gordon as well. They'll get it figured out. A good step in the right direction would be a win against suddenly hot Houston tomorrow night. If we can beat Houston, I think we'll probably finish this road trip 4-3 which would be good enough for me.
  17. You don't remember last year's team being extremely inconsistent in November? The 2004-2005 team was consistently bad at least. There are eight new players on this team, including two rookies whom I expect to be solid contributors by season's end, and the team's November schedule is brutal. Maybe I'm the only one who wasn't expecting the Bulls to win on the road in Dallas when the schedule was released. Finishing the month at 7-7, 6-8, and making up some ground in December is my hope. This team needs some time to gel. Yep I remember last November, but all of our games were close. We didn't have any blowout wins, and we weren't blown out of the building as well. All of our games seemed to come down to the final 2 minutes, and we nearly split those games. This year, nearly all of our games have been either blowout wins or blowout losses, save the Kings and Pacers games. And in those two games, Wallace had his best games of the year. Maybe I'm looking too hard into it, but bottom line is this: if Wallace can play a good game, we have a great chance of winning. If he doesn't show up, the team as a whole doesn't show up. Small sample size seeing we're only 7 games into the season, but hopefully it doesn't turn into a pattern we see all season long.
  18. I'm neither surprised nor frustrated. They finished November 7-6 last year, 1-10 the year before. If they can avoid a long losing streak during the first couple of months of the season, I think they'll be in solid shape for a run come playoff time. This is true, but this team has been extremely inconsistant this year. Our strength is supposed to be our defense. Well in 3 of the 4 losses that we have, the opponent has scored close to 110 points in all 3 of those games. It's not a coincidence that Big Ben's worst games were in those 3 losses. If Big Ben doesn't perform, our defense isn't that good. I don't know why considering our D was still tops in the league last year and near the top two years ago. Maybe a confidence factor, or lack thereof on our team? I don't know what the problem is right now, but I'm sure Skiles will fix this.
  19. Makes NIU's loss against Toledo look that much worse, no offense ndi. Can't wait to see CMU absolutely own NIU on Friday... Or does it make your win over BSU in Muncie look that much better? I miss good NIU and a good offense that used to know how to score 40 points a game :(

  21. Man, I was really tempted to get a Wallace jersey, but is it really worth it? Every other center has absolutely dominated Wallace besides Shaq so far this season. A 41-41 season seems extremely likely once again.
  22. Indiana LOSES to Butler, 60-55! One of Butler's players hit a 3 pointer from NBA 3 point range as the shot clock expired with 5 seconds left on the game clock to ice the game. Couldn't happen to a nicer team. SIU absolutely has to beat the Hoosiers now.
  23. Looks like we are getting Izturis and Derosa next year up the middle. Better be getting a LOT of offense from the outfield if that's the case. Murton, Soriano, Drew from left to right sounds good to me.
