  1. Awesome. haha I love that image Looks like the top of the skyscraper is spearing the bear in the chest and it's crying in pain
  2. Grrr...SF vs. New Orleans!? Could be worse. I have KC-Cleveland over the Jets-Packers game and I have the Cardinals-Rams over the 'Queens-Bears. yay, those two games should be real fun to watch.
  3. Even nicer to get revenge on the Stars. Hopefully this is the start of something. We play the Blues on Friday at the UC, so that's another winnable game.
  4. SIU wins 50-36. The Salukis are now 5-1 on the season. Not the most impressive win, but not a bad effort considering that this was our 4th game in six days. Next game is at home against Saint Louis, who improved their record to 5-1 after knocking off Loyola on the road.
  5. VT beats Iowa 69-65. Nice to see VT help out SIU's RPI :)
  6. SIU leads Louisiana Tech, 28-12 at half :)
  7. A loss to the Jets would pretty much put us on life support for any chance at the playoffs. But with a win, we have a chance of going back to just 1 game behind the 6th and final spot in the NFC.
  8. Oh man I hope you're right. Zambrano? Schmidt? Hill? Westbrook? Miller (with prior on the background)? Pitchingasm. Honestly, if you get Schmidt, Westbrook, and a decent SS, you probably have a team that could compete with the mets for the best in the NL when healthy. I don't know why you would roll your eyes at that. Because since 2003 that has been the story of the cubs. I should have said: Here we go again ... Yeah that would've made sense. I thought you were rolling your eyes at what Jazz said about us competing with the Mets next year.

  10. That's a real good rotation...when healthy. You really can't count on Beckett being healthy for a full year and Schilling has had some pretty serious injuries the last couple of years as well. But when that rotation is 100% and if they were to make the playoffs with all of those guys healthy, that would be an extremely dangerous rotation to face in a best of 5 and a best of 7.
  11. I just want Kansas to make a bowl game - only because their coach is a really bad fatty. http://media.kansan.com/img/photos/2005/09/11/mangino_t450.jpg Wow. And I thought Toledo Tom was fat. http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/tol/sports/m-footbl/auto_action/295617.jpeg
  12. Terrible clock awareness by IU on the final 10 seconds.
  13. Bulls win 102-85. Can we play the Knicks 82 times a year? Gordon had 23 and 6 assists. Big Ben had 8 and 12. Duhon had 17 points, PJ had 14, Hinrich had 13, Deng had 12, and Noc had 10. Nice all-around effort tonight. Bulls face another ex-player on Friday night as we take on Tyson Chandler and the Hornets.
  14. Kaplan is an unreliable source who has no history of ever being correct. He did break the Sammy Sosa trade. Let's go back on just the last few weeks. He said that the Cubs were close to signing Meche and a deal would be done in the next few days. That never happened. He said that the Floyd deal would be done a couple days ago. That also never happened. He said that Hendry's top priority in the offseason right after the regular season was Barry Zito. That turned out to be incorrect as well. Kaplan is more of a fan rather than someone who you can take for a reliable source regarding rumors. His credibility equals the credibility that you and I have.

  16. This team really doesn't look that solid at all...
  17. 59-57 Maryland with 3:57 to play. Meacham shooting 2 FT's for Illinois after the media TO.
  18. Best name ever. I'm surprised the Krush hasn't started any chants directed at him. I'm not the biggest Carter fan in the world either, but he's the only one that is playing at least halfway decent right now. For Illinois to win this game, Jamar is going to have to find his shot in the 2nd half.
  19. 14-4 run for Illinois to end the half. Illini down 33-28 at the break.
  20. That penalty was huge because that would've been a 3 and out for the defense and the offense would've been getting the ball back, down only 3, with a little over 6 to play. Of course after the penalty, the Hawks march down the field and get a TD putting the game out of reach. The penalty was definitely BS and I agree that these roughing the passer penalties are getting way out of hand.
  21. Awful start so far for Illinois.
  22. Wait a second, what if Ohio wins the MAC title game? The MAC only has 3 bowl tie-ins and they've all been filled without Ohio... Ohio should get the GMAC bowl. They're the beneficiary of the new rule where division winners are automatically bowl eligible. I wish that rule would've been around last year...
  23. How badly will IU lose tonight? Me thinks the line is at 13 or 14. The real question is how much PSU will lose to GT. My guess is 32. I do think the Big 10 can win three games tonight--Illinois, Wisconsin, and even NU have good chances of winning tonight. Hopefully IU doesn't put up that much of an embarassing performance.
  24. Great start to the bowl season! :D
