  1. Basically have to win out now. Favre's injury isn't too serious, but if the offense looks as pathetic as it did against the Patriots today (with or without Favre), it's not really going to matter. Seattle is also going to get Hasselbeck back as well, which is really going to hurt the slim chances we have at going to Qwest and knocking off the 'Hawks at home. If we can somehow steal a win against Seattle, a 9 win season could still be likely. But I'm not really counting on stealing a win after the performance that we had today :(
  2. Jesus...94 pages. My thoughts on the signing: I'm a big Soriano guy, but 8 years? That's a lot. He's definitely not going to having many 40/40 seasons when he's 38 and 39. I'm glad we got him and it'll improve the power threat of our offense, but damn, that's a long time to lock someone up for (opt out clauses aside). Time to move onto the next priority. Let's get Drew and then get some pitching :)
  3. Well at least the D was there tonight. Hinrich had one awful game of basketball tonight. It was nice to see the Nocioni from the 2nd half of last year back in form tonight.
  4. SIU beats Murray State, 62-46. Next up: Pre-season tourney in Orlando starting on Thanksgiving against Arkansas.
  5. I-AA playoffs start this week. SIU is home against Tennessee-Martin.
  6. Pretty close call...it looked like he started to lose it as soon as his knee touched the ground.
  7. I really wish ND would join the Big 10. They do play their fair share of amount of Big 10 teams and they would be the most logical choice to be the 12th Big 10 team. But, as mentioned, they won't do it because of money.
  8. Why not go for both Lugo and Drew?
  9. Hounds.
  10. I voted Boston Creme (also a good one), but I meant to vote Banana Cream.
  11. LA is a game we can win, but I don't think we've won in Denver in ages. We even struggled there in our dynasty days and when they were crap. If we can beat the Lakers, 76ers, and Knicks, I'll be fine with going 3-4 on this trip.
  12. It's also my dream to buy the Cubs, for what it's worth. How about a NSBB pool to buy the Cubs? I"m in. This sounds interesting.
  13. Hawks just lost to said team in a shootout 2-1 3-2 was the final, but the point still remains. Another blown 3rd period lead for the Hawks. A Bulls loss and a Hawks loss. And chances are the same thing will happen tomorrow night too... Sorry, I meant that the SO was 2-1 Coyotes Boucher has not stopped a man on a shootout attempt so far this season. Teams are now 4/4 against him on a shootout. And thanks for the details goony. Handzus is surprising since he was supposed to be out for the whole season. I guess Tallon is still optimistic that we'll still be in the race in March.
  14. During the Grizzlies-Kings game last night on ESPN, Jim Gray reported that it was the Grizzlies owner's dream to buy the Cubs. Take it for what it's worth...
  15. Nevin would be a real good bench option.
  16. Oh and does anyone know when Havlat and Khabibulin are coming back? It's nearly been a month since both of them have been out. We aren't too far out of the 8th spot yet either where we can still make a run, but we really need Havlat back ASAP.
  17. Hawks just lost to said team in a shootout 2-1 3-2 was the final, but the point still remains. Another blown 3rd period lead for the Hawks. A Bulls loss and a Hawks loss. And chances are the same thing will happen tomorrow night too...
  18. Packers and Vikings lose (I think they both have very losable games) and Bears win, magic number is 1 :D Viqueens can lose, but Packers must win. You guys will win the division anyway...just let us beat the Pats
  19. I thought Ben did a great job on Yao tonight. 20 points in 38 minutes is a so-so game for Ming these days. Ben did a good job on Yao on one-on-one defense, but what pissed me off about Ben tonight was that he looked like he didn't care at all. There were a couple of instances where all he had to do was jump and he would've had a rebound, yet he either just stood on the floor, or proceeded to run downcourt. I would've at least thought that we were going to get 110% out of Ben each and every night and that hasn't been the case at all, so far.
  20. Yeah, but the travel was blatant. Yep, it was. Very disappointing loss tonight. I especially liked how the defense stepped it up the final 12 minutes, but otherwise sucked the first 36 minutes. Nice intensity, guys.
  21. That wasn't a foul. Skiles lost this game for us. What was with that crappy rotation he had in the 2nd quarter when he took out Hinrich and put in guys like Khryapa and even SWEETNEY?!?!
  22. Most overrated team in the NBA. Our defense sucks, we have no offense, we turn the ball over too much, etc. This is an extremely painful game to watch so far.
  23. Good move IMO. If Hendry thinks Cotts is going to be a starter though, he's dead wrong. He's a guy that seems to get figured out pretty easily. If we can move Eyre in a deal that would include a starter, this deal will look a lot better.
  24. For the love of God, please get it done.
