  1. pretty close to what I have. And hopefully people don't have Southern Illinois going too far, since they'll be out in Round One. :D Oh, I have us going far. Real far :D
  2. Easy now, IU is not crappy. Also, Illinois has a great chance to lose to Kansas in the sweet sixteen. They have a better chance to lose to Virginia Tech in the first round though or SIU in the second. IU lost to Illinois therefore they are crappy. UCLA is crappy because they lost to Cal. :D sadly, I didn't even know there were games here until I saw the goodyear blimp (why send a blimp to an indoor event?). Anyway, I can get tickets if you want 'em Raisin (or anyone else) - six hours of driving and $61 a ticket. I'd love to go if SIU made it to the Sweet Sixteen. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll have the funds to get a plane ticket/hotel out there :x
  3. Since Stevens was just arrested in Arizona for DUI and possession of marijuana, do you still want him? Nope. If he's getting busted when he's a Free Agent, what does that say about his character?
  4. UNC? They're in Winston-Salem. And I agree with you about Miami Ohio. I've seen plenty of MAC basketball this year and it was pretty pathetic, to say the last. What's real funny is how some people are saying Miami is actually going to upset Oregon. This must not be the Miami team that nearly lost to NIU at home earlier this year.
  5. He's a special teams stud, but is one dimensional as a player. He's good against the run, but he can't cover, and he can't rush the passer either. He's a good backup ILB/special teamer, but that's about it. Eh, sounds ok. No idea why we're going to pay him $4 mil and didn't have interest in similar dollar amounts for Stallworth, Bennett and Travis Henry, though. Oh, don't worry. You guys aren't the only team not to do anything in FA :x Flames it seems like more than a few teams are just abstaining from FA completely, and for good reason. The market has gone out of control Its sometimes better to just consolidate what you have and wait for the draft. Its not worth it to overpay very mediocre players just because you feel like you have to do something in FA. Some teams have pretty much stuck to the philosophy of maybe one big sign an off-season and then just resigning what talent they have and then signing their draftees. Teams that spend a ton in free agency...don't seem to have a higher winning percentage at all. Its frustrating, but blame people like Dan Snyder for it. I'll agree with that. But the deals that I'm pissed off about are the ones like the McMichael deal and the Griffith deal. Both relatively cheap and both guys that easily could help improve our offense. We showed interest in both, even having Griffith over to Green Bay for a visit, but didn't even offer him a contract. We did make our first signing of the offseason today in Frank Walker, a third string CB that was on the Giants. Don't really know too much about him, but a few Giants fans said that he's a good ST player. But, he does get burned a lot when he's in coverage and commits a lot of stupid penalties. Sounds like an older Ahmad Carroll... The Moss rumors to Green Bay are back on as Thompson met with the Packers Board of Directors today to discuss the Moss deal. We're still the frontrunners for him and I don't think that's going to change. A deal probably wouldn't happen until around draft day because Davis is going to try to do his best to raise Moss' value as much as possible.
  6. I love TT. I've been on the Tyrus bandwagon for a while now and his performance tonight was sensational. He had 3 awesome dunks and one pretty good one as well. Anyone who calls him a wasted draft pick is out of their minds.
  7. While I think Illinois is not very good, I think it's very possible they win two games. They match-up pretty well with Va Tech (a very inconsistent team) as well they would So. Illinois. Nothing from this year's Illini team makes me feel like they can win two games in a row against two solid teams. Heck, they've had trouble winning just one game in a row against a solid team. I saw our game against VT, way back in November. They are obviously beatable, but Illinois' guards better guard Dowdell and their other guard, or else they're going to be in for a long night. The key for Illinois to winning that game will be for Pruitt to stay out of foul trouble. I do have Illinois winning that game (I'll admit, more of a heart pick than a head pick), but it's not going to be an easy game, by any stretch.
  8. You guys aren't the only team not to do anything in FA :x
  9. I might put them over Pitt in the first round. I have Albany going to the Sweet 16.
  10. Insert the obvious quote here: "He played like he was retired in 2005."
  11. Just lose two more games. Please. Just think what their record would be if they didn't start off at 1-3 or something along those lines. That's unreal.
  12. SIU and Illinois are my two favorite teams. I'd just like for them to play each other though because a matchup between the two has been overdue.
  13. Extremely happy with SIU's seeding. A 4 seed against Holy Cross. A potential 2nd round game against Illinois. Hopefully, we'll finally get to see that long-awaited matchup with a spot for a Sweet 16 berth on the line.
  14. We're also counting on the likes of Jason Marquis, Neal Cotts, and Wade Miller then if Prior continues to blow. It's just spring training. Pitchers always tend to struggle early because they have to get their arm conditioned. I'm not worried about Prior at all. The velocity will get back up there and he'll gain control of his curve. I'm sure Sox fans aren't worried about Buehrle's early struggles either.
  15. Lunardi just likes to hear himself talk this time of the year. His last Bracketology posted on Espn.com has the last four in as Purdue, Illinois, Drexel, and Old Dominion. The last four out are Air Force, Florida State, Kansas State and West Virginia and next four out are Missouri State, Stanford, Appalacian State and Mississippi State. What in the world could Kansas State and Stanford have done for themselves since this morning that moved them up to the last four in? Either he was full of you know what this morning or is now. He just moves teams around so his reports seem interesting. Not that it really matters, Illinois has one and done written all over them this year. But they are more deserving than Kansas State and Stanford. Yep, well said on everything. Kansas State and Stanford have no right in being ahead of Illinois for a spot tomorrow. Lunardi is becoming an egotistical, arrogant meathead these last couple of years. And I'll agree that Illinois has one and done all over them. BUT, that does not mean they should be snubbed over a couple of other undeserving teams.
  16. Up your ASS.... We are 11-6 in conference, clearly showed we are at least 4th in the Big 12, yet we still get no respect. I love dilusional Big Televen fans..... Go win at Texas. Guarantee it wouldn't happen. So we lose to KU 2x....but only lose to aTm by 4 at their house, while we only had Walker for 5 mins of the game......no, that didn't matter.. We came back from that, without our best player, to win 12 of 16 and finish 4th in the Big 12...... If KSU is NOT in, I'll drive to Indy and show MANY people my ASS! Their statistical numbers are very poor. They played an easy schedule, and it is going to end up burning them. It's not a biased opinion that's keeping them out, it's their profile. I see where you're coming from, yet I don't..... We're #4 in the BIG 12. YES, a conference that has supposedly 3 teams that could contend, yet we beat one of those 3 at home, and are the ONLY team that has beat them at home in something like the last 25 games...hmmmm.... I understand the lack of out of conference play, however, we beat USC to win a mid season tourney..... at a NEUTRAL sight of course. You tell me another team from a MAJOR conference that went on the road like we did, and I'll respond.... However, there ISN'T ONE. We went on the road for the majority of our OOC... and played the same in conference as KU, but still get no respect. I find it hilarious. I will bet ANYONE on this board that we're in... If anyone has the balls..... A LOT of people here know whom I am, and know I'll pay if wrong. Anyone wish to wager??? If we dont' get in, it's the biggest BS of ANY major conference any time in the recent past... For example.. Out of the major conferences... 169/169 teams have gotten in with... 4th place in the conference 10 conference wins 20 wins overall.. If KSU is the one team (after winning against the "for sure" team not in the top 3 in the conference), then the NCAA has issues that need to be addressed. However, after the 97/98 football debacle where we were #3 in the nation but didn't get a BCS game, I don't trust anything.... 4th in the #7 conference in the nation. I guarantee you the 4th place team in the MVC (the 6th place conference) will not get their team in, even though they have much better statistical numbers than KSU does. That being said, one more win will definitely put them in as they'll be in the title game. But they are definitely a bubble team. If the five of us on here saw how bad their stats measure up to some of the other bubble teams, I'm sure guys that are actually on the committee will notice that as well.
  17. He's a little long winded today but Plesac isn't bad. He took Scott Eyre under his wing when he was a young pitcher... he's told this one before. He mentioned it about 2389407123857 times last year. Plesac's an idiot.
  18. The first Orlando game after the first Heat game, they beat us by 15 and we never really challenged them.
  19. Another game that could impact seeding on SIU. Go Washington.
  20. Puts them right back on the bubble.
  21. He's still a bust, but he's been having a solid year with Orlando, I believe. Good win tonight. Relatively easy four game stretch coming up with 2 against Boston, 1 against Philly, and 1 against Memphis.
  22. What a 3 by Ben to end the 3rd! 71-48 after 3.
  23. Well, on a good note, it should keep Missouri State right on the edge of making it.
  24. Louisville with a 9 point lead. Thanks a lot WVU...
