  1. SIU leads Drake 30-19 at halftime. This game could be way out of hand if we would be making our open shots.
  2. I guess that will end the Jeff Garcia signing with Tampa rumors. Well according to the NFL Network, Plummer has retired in lieu of being traded to Tampa. So not only is there no deal, but those rumors of Garcia to Tampa are probably back on.
  3. Jake Plummer has been traded from Denver to Tampa Bay for a 4th round pick.
  4. SIU-Drake, in the quarterfinals of the MVC Tournament, is coming up at noon :)
  5. These so-called "experts" believe that if a conference has parity (as much as the 3rd-8th place teams in the Big 10 have), that the conference is having a "down year." Look at the MVC this year. In my mind, there's no doubt that the conference is better than last year. Yet the conference is getting far less publicity than last year and people are saying the conference isn't as good because of the parity the conference has.
  6. Why? Hes the best GM in Chicago. Yeah I have no problems at all with Angelo's deal. Of course Flames24Rulz wouldn't like it....he's a packer fan :) Nothing with being a Packer fan. I would just be unwilling to give ANY GM a six year extension.
  7. What does Law do for an encore? Hit a shot to send it to double OT.
  8. Oh. My. God. What a shot by Acie Law.
  9. It was definitely nice to see them play a lot and play quite well. Much needed win, even if it did come against a team that can't play D worth a lick.
  10. Oakland fans on their Scout board are reporting that the Raiders and Packers have reached a tentative agreement that would send Moss to the Packers for a 2nd round pick in 07 and a draft pick in 08. This source is coming from a radio station called KNBR. Hopefully this is true :D
  11. That's a good deal for Lovie. Not so sure about giving Angelo a six year extension, however.
  12. Scott. Skiles. Luckily, the Bulls are facing Golden State tonight and have pushed the lead back up to 14. This run has been spurred with TT on the court. Coincidence? I think not.
  13. Yeah, that shot was right on line. A little more strength on that shot, and that game is probably headed to OT. PSU just knocked off Iowa though!
  14. Down to a 68-65 IU lead with 9 seconds left. Northwestern ball.
  15. Wow, Northwestern just cut IU's lead from 11 down to 5 in a real fast couple of seconds.
  16. Pro Football Talk said that the Ravens still would have interest in bringing Lewis back, but only for somewhere along $2 million for one year.
  17. Mind as well post one of these with Free Agency and trades starting very shortly. One very interesting rumor today is Randy Moss for Aaron Rodgers. Apparently Oakland wanted a 1st rounder from the Pack, but Thompson put Rodgers in the deal instead of the 16th overall pick.
  18. Wow, a great lineup! I don't think I've seen a lineup this good since we acquired Nomar in 04.
  19. Ugh, please don't blow it. I want Florida to play themselves out of a 1 seed in the worst way possible.
  20. Atlanta could use him at #10. So could Green Bay at #16, but like Vance said, his stock is definitely rising now.
  21. I saw some of the sample questions of the Wonderlic on foxsports.com. You would seriously have to be a complete idiot to not get at least a 90% on the Wonderlic.
  22. It always amazes me to see a 6'7 OT put up 225 30+ times. That's a long way to push a bar. No doubt. Wolfe's only 5'7 though and he's benching 22 reps. Free's a huge guy and he's benching the same amount. Hopefully it won't hurt his stock too much. He did play with an injured leg the whole season, but I think he can still be a real solid tackle. Wolfe really intrigues me. He's extremely fast and those bench reps will only help him. His size (which is easily his largest drawback) is much less of an issue if he proves he's strong. I wonder how much it will help that Michael Turner was from NIU. Doesn't mean squat to me, but the NFL GM's seem to feel that past success at a position from one school will better prepare players for what they'll face down the line. I don't, but whatever. I don't think it should. Wolfe is mainly going to be a backup RB with a main role of being a returner. I do find it odd how Wolfe is supposed to be picked late in the 3rd round, while Turner didn't go till the 5th. Speaking of Turner, he's going to be cashing in on a nice payday pretty soon.
  23. "Someone with height" is Nocioni. Until he's healthy, we have to put up with more minutes from Griffin, Brown and Allen. He can't get back soon enough I'll agree, we're a much better team with Nocioni. But Skiles has to get over his stupid fetish of the 3 guard lineup and LEAVE Tyrus in the game. He's our second best defender and when he was in, we were playing our best. When Skiles took him out with 6 minutes left, the Magic went on a run, the 3 guard lineup sucked again, and we took another loss. Tyrus needs more playing time with Nocioni out. Why guys such as Brown, Allen, Sweetney, and Griffin are getting PT over him, I'll never know.
  25. Garrett Wolfe had 22 reps. Doug Free, NIU's O-Lineman who is supposed to be drafted in the first day, came in with a poor 22 reps as well. Wolfe also had the best time on the shuttle and the cone drill in his class as well. He's not running the 40 though because of a hamstring issue. That's unfortunate because he's had a great combine so far.
