    If it's going to happen, it's going to happen either today or tomorrow. And based on Phil's comments, the sooner he's traded, the better. Kobe is also listed on the Lakers inactive list.

    All of Western Illinois' losses have come against decent teams. Two of them were blowouts; 21-0 Illinois and 42-3 Northern Iowa. I doubt they'll be able to slow down SIU's high powered offense, so we should be able to roll all over them. We probably won't win the conference, but if we win out, we should be able to get a top 4 seed in the I-AA playoffs. That would guarantee us home field advantage for the first two rounds.

    Jake Hogue missed two chip-shot field goals, Brady Hoke sat on the ball at midfield with 30 seconds and all 3 timeouts left in the first half, Booker flat-out whiffed on a tackle that should've been made that turned into a 25 yard run for Juice, etc. etc. If these were things that UI might have caused I'd feel differently, but if the Cardinals simply didn't play (and coach) stupid there's a good chance things would've turned out differently. I'm certainly not saying UI played their best game, but you sure as hell didn't get Ball State's sharpest one either. BTW, I agree with whoever said to bench Juice. He's a good runner but my god the man can't throw to save his life. If McGee plays (as he should), that game isn't even close. Sorry, but Juice kept Ball St. in that game yesterday with that pick 6 and his terrible passing game.

    Illinois' defense is also pretty overrated. Thankfully, BSU's kicker is doing his best to blow it.

    Not sure why Northwestern didn't go for it on 4th and goal from the 1. The worst case scenario would be Purdue starting at their own 1 or 2 yard line.

    SIU. Regular season MVC champions, 29-7 record, and 4 points away from an Elite 8 berth. We are predicted to win the Valley again this year and many publications have us in the top 25 (around the 21-25 area). We also lost two of our best players in Jamaal Tatum and Tony Young. Best players on this years team are Randal Falker (who should win MVC Player of the Year), Matt Shaw, and Brian Mullins. Our frontcourt is going to carry us this year with Falker and Shaw starting and freshman Carlton Fay coming off the bench. I'm very excited about this years team. College Gameday is going to be here January 26th for our tilt against Creighton. And we have OOC games against Indiana and Butler at home. Regular season opener is November 17th against NIU.

    Yup. Actually, it was over when the Red Sox won game 5 of the last series. You two couldn't be more wrong. This game means nothing to the Rockies. They're supposed to lose this game because Beckett is on the mound. Beckett is supposed to be doing exactly what he's in the middle of doing: shutting the Rockies down and winning the game. I think the key game for them is Game 2 and that if they can come out of Boston with a split, they'll be in good shape. Now, if they lose Game 2 and go back to Colorado down 2-0, then they'll be in trouble. But not right now. As long as Colorado wins one in Boston, they'll win this series. I don't see Boston being able to win in Coors.
