  1. His inability to make a trade with some good, young trade chips is really what irritates me. That and the fact that he's not going to fire Skiles. We can get off to an 0-25 start, and Skiles' job security will be as solid as a rock.
  2. Ohio State loses an exhibition game to FINDLAY. Point and laugh at the Schmuckeyes.
  3. I was actually going to suggest the opposite, that those of us posting in this thread participate in a moratorium to encourage people to use Secondcityhoops. That way there will at least be some discussion on there so when I (or others, for that matter) direct outsiders there for some good chat, there will be some good chat. Hey Id be all for that, but right now its dead there. Hell the last game thread had like 4 posts lol. I just remember last years thread, and there was alot of talk in there before, during, and after games. I agree. I liked the idea of a site for the Bulls, but for now, I think we should keep the discussion here. It's different with the Bears because they had such a following on here last year. Game threads approached 20 pages a week when the Bears played. There were some Bulls games last year where there were only about 2-3 posts during a game. And that was fine because we had a whole thread dedicated to the Bulls season. I'd be on 2nd City Hoops, but it's just completely dead there...for now. And Bucher just said that the Lakers hot start isn't really keeping Kobe happy in LA. Good news, good news.
  4. I vote a redraft. Sorry for messing things up, I've just been extremely busy the last few days.
  5. Hawai'i isn't LSU. LSU likely beats Hawai'i by 20. You can't convince me Vance. Hawai'i is undefeated. LSU is not. Are you really suggesting that Hawai'i is anywhere near the team LSU is? Alabama would crush Hawai'i; Flordia would demolish them; Kentucky likely beats them by two scores; Auburn would be a 13 point favorite against them; hell, even Mississippi State might beat them. Viginia Tech would as well. If Hawai'i played LSU's schedule this year, they would have four losses already, and maybe have a losing record. You're probably right, but I hate it when people make that argument. They don't play LSU's schedule, so we'll never know.
  6. I was wondering how long it'd take you to show up! :D BTW, the Illinois-Indiana banter is already annoying. We need a USC fan for you to fight with :)
  7. I'd take Darren McFadden, Felix Jones and Jonathan Stewart ahead of him but I think Mendenhall would be the fourth best RB in the draft if all of them turn pro. Definitely a day 1 guy, maybe a 2nd rounder. What about Slaton and Rice? This RB class is going to be so dope.
  8. Is it bad that I smiled? Hopefully we mug his ass in a few weeks.
  9. And pretty soon, neither will McNabb. I love how Andy Reid kept McNabb in there when the Eagles were down by 4 TD's instead of going with your rookie who needs the experience. Great move there, big guy. Forgive Andy hes had a rough week I like Andy a lot. I have a soft spot for all of those coaches that were part of Holmgren's amazing staff in the 90s. But still, that's the perfect time to get your rookie some in-game snaps.

  11. SIU played their first exhibition game yesterday and defeated "King" 74-38. Defensive intensity was strong as always and I was real impressed with Josh Bone and Wesley Clemmons. Going to need them to step up big this year.
  12. I'm in. Georgia by 7 USC by 10 Ohio State by 10 Kansas by 3 West Virginia by 13 Va Tech by 6 Michigan by 10 Texas by 14 UConn by 4 Florida by 13 Clemson by 3 Tennessee by 9 Virginia by 4 LSU by 38 Oklahoma by 41 Missouri by 14 BC by 6 Arizona St. by 14 Hawaii by 17 Boise State by 28 Kentucky by 13
  13. C'mon. Meph has been spot on on all his other predictions for mismatch or not, though. Just like how he said that the Michigan-Illinois game would be a blowout too, right? Whoops. Illinois probably won't win, but they'll keep it within 10-14 points. Hart was out and when I said that I thought Hart would be fine. I think I said it on a Monday or something. Since you want to frame me again, I'll oblige. I don't want to frame anybody. Just pointing out what you said, that's all.

  15. McNabb just threw the worst pick ever. Receiver blanketed by 2 guys and he throws it right at Ken Hamlin.
  16. I like it. Not only because they beat an NFC team, but Dallas doesn't need to get that much better :)
  17. Seriously, how do you go from 14-2 or whatever they were last year to about to be 4-4 fire very good coach, hire very bad coach. p.s. - the packers aren't that good. I love it. Let everyone keep on hating. The reality is that at the worst, we're the 2nd best team in the NFC. that's true.... still, they're not that good. Not 7-1 good. The only game we did not really deserve to win was the game against you guys. And we gave that game away against the Bears, so I don't see how we shouldn't be a 7-1 team. No, we're not as impressive as the Patriots or Colts. But we don't need to be to contend in the NFC. We don't have a running game, but we're showing that we don't need one as no one can stop our passing attack. We've faced some pretty good teams this year, so it's not like this is a fluke.
  18. I'm definitely not hating. I think the Packers GM did an excellent job drafting. Look at how the Bears drafted WR's and look at how the Packers did. They got Jones and Jennings who have been playing very well and we have garbage. Packers defense is very solid and having Favre there and now the talent around them, they look much much better than last year. The only thing they are really missing is a RB, because Grant, Wynn and Jackson are not the answer there. Agreed. Thompson has done a great job with the drafts the last 2 years. Besides a RB, another safety and another CB to back up Harris and Woodson would be nice. But I think we can easily address all those needs in the offseason. Turner is a Free Agent and the RB class for the draft next year is extremely deep. Because of that, I really hope we use our 1st rounder on a CB or safety. It would make our defense just that much better.

  20. 7-1. That is all :D
  21. It's truly amazing that Favre continues to make such stupid throws. For a 17 year vet one would think he would make better decisions, but he still from time to time throws into double and triple coverages. Hopefully the Packers can still pull a win out of this, but this game is starting to remind me of the last game the Packers played at Arrowhead. It was a stupid throw, there's no defending that. But he did get hit on the arm when he was releasing the ball. Like the FOX guys said during halftime, the 1st INT was a bad decision by Brett. The 2nd INT was a bad decision by the coaching staff.
  22. Or if we just decided to, oh I don't know, run the ball and go to the half up 6-0? What a joke.
  23. That would be a nice change. He usually rides Gordon like a mule and gives Hinrich a pass. Some players need to be teated differently depending on what drives them. He's always given Gordon a short leash while he gives Hinrich and Duhon all the breaks in the world. I've gotten the same vibe from Kirk. Just how much further can he go? He can't shoot well, he makes a lot of mistakes, and when we're behind late in games, he becomes a hog that chucks up everything imaginable.
  24. Please win out Kansas, Hawaii, and UConn.
  25. When Joe Smith is your best player on the night, you know you're not that good.
