  1. We're decent, but I expected a closer game. Just seems like these real athletic teams give us trouble. Once we get to conference play, it'll be smooth sailing for us. I hope.
  2. its funny you never acknowledge all the times you are wrong. LSU over Arkansas 41-17?ha Plus I think a lot of people on here and a lot of the general public picked Oklahoma to beat Missouri. Not really that surprising.
  3. B-C-S, B-C-S, B-C-S!!!!
  4. What a bomb.
  5. TOUCHDOWN HAWAII!!!!
  6. To be down 21-0 by a BCS team to get 28-28, they deserve the credit. It's just like, IMHO, Boise St. last year. On paper, they may not have a chance against a certain team, but that's why we play the games. What? You get credit for getting way behind a bad team and coming back? ok. They're undefeated. A couple of teams have one loss and a ton of teams have two losses. That deserves something, right?
  7. Thanks Oklahoma. Illini and Buckeye fans everywhere thank you.
  8. They're undefeated. This game has been the story of most of their season. They struggle, but when the pressure is on, they deal with it well and they get the win. Looks like the same thing is happening tonight.
  9. I'd seriously consider him at the end of the first round or any point in the second round if I'm a team looking for a QB. He has the arm and size to be a successful QB in the NFL. You have to look beyond his numbers because of the system he plays in, but he's still a really intriguing prospect. He needs to throw overhand though. It looks like he just flings the ball in there sometimes. But I think that can be worked on.
  10. As I said, Davone Bess is really good.
  11. HAHA, you can challenge that play. Willingham and UW must not have known that. I remember in the Indiana-Northwestern game earlier this year, IU's QB was originally ruled behind the line and threw a TD pass, but Northwestern challenged it and the replay showed that the QB passed the line. The TD was wiped away. Talk about a break.
  12. Hawaii just got away with a massive hold. But I'll take it :D
  13. Davone Bess is pretty good in his own right.
  14. These refs have gotten so many calls wrong tonight. Bad call by Jones on kicking that. It's clear that this kicker is hurt.
  15. Well, looks like I'm the idiot.
  16. I fail to see the reasoning on why Hawaii accepted that penalty.
  17. This year has been unique in so many ways that I don't think you can count on this type of thing happening again. Maybe not another year like this, but I could see several crazy years to follow because of parity. And this announcer is terrible. First an incomplete pass can't be challenged but then it can be only in the end zone?
  18. That would be an even worse Rose Bowl (in terms of the closeness of the game) than last year was. I think you are severely underrating Illinois' speed on offense.
  19. And scored over 100 at that.
  20. Stupid Hawaii. The good thing is it's early. And the day wasn't a total loss for SIU as we advance to the I-AA version of the Final Four with a 34-27 win over UMass. Another home game next Friday night against Delaware with a trip to the National Title on the line.
  21. That was terrible. The first 16 minutes of the game was probably some of the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. Too bad the final 24 minutes were garbage. We can't shoot. I didn't think we'd miss Tatum and Young this much, but we do. Matt Shaw can't go 1/7 from 3 point range in every game. He has the last two games. We just got beat by the better team tonight.
  22. So how about Pittsburgh giving Wanny a 3-year extension to push his contract up to 2012? They've underachieved ever since he has came there and they reward him with a multi-year extension? Why not just slap the Athletic Director label on him and call it a day?
  23. I could get used to these blowout wins. Who would've thought Byfuglien would've had a hat trick? A one period hat trick at that? This team is really starting to gel.
  24. Hey guys, remember when Milledge was regarded as one of the better prospects in the game? That was what, one year ago? And all the Mets got in return for him was Ryan Church and Brian Schneider? The Nats made out like bandits.
  25. He looked real good last night. Made a few plays with his legs which had the Dallas defense on their heels in the 2nd half. All throughout training camp, he was heralded as the Packers' most improved player and last night, he showed that he can be effective.
