  1. Rumored to sign Forsberg too. Maybe this team still does have a shot.
  2. I always thought he'd make for a good college coach as well, but he's going to be immediately thrown in the fire if this is true. Not quite sure if this guy is going to be ready to do that.
  3. http://indiana.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=726&mid=111311874&sid=942&tid=111311874&style=1 If true, bwahahahahahahahahaha.
  4. Dream on. Deron is 8-1 in his career vs. Chris. The 1 was his rookie year when he was sitting on the bench. Certainly career record is the best way to judge how good a player is. Yeah I prefer stats you know we play the games to have better stats. Ask Karl Malone he scored more points than Jordan and rebounded more. He must be better. All Deron Williams does is win. He also has this part of his game that Chris Paul has yet to hear of, defense. Fool. Eh..Paul's defense has greatly improved since being at Wake.
  5. What is it bad to do that after your other great player got hurt in the same game? Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but the game was well in hand for IU throughout the later stages of the 2nd half. Sampson lacks class, he is gonna run it up on MSU. 6 days till the conference is rid of that clown. The college basketball world can only hope.

  7. lol @ Eric Gordon still being out there with a 21 point lead.
  8. Michigan State isn't even close to being top 10 worthy. See the loss to Penn State a couple of weeks ago.
  9. HUGE road win for us against Wichita State as we completely dominated them in OT. Wichita State is tied for last in the conference, but they got one of their best players back tonight in Matt Brauer. Plus, I'd figured that they'd be a chore for us seeing how much we struggle on the road. Just one game behind ISU for 2nd in the Valley. 3 home games left with only 1 roadie left including a home game against ISU to close out the regular season. We control our own destiny for the 2nd seed in the Valley.
  10. I wonder if that has anything to do with our best player being suspended for the year and losing out on a top rated recruit at the last second? Huh? Heh...I certainly wouldn't call Jamar Smith Illinois' best player. At least if we're going by the same Jamar Smith that I saw for the first half of last season. You do know that Smith supposedly battled alcohol problems all year last year and physical injuries? I am talking the guy who shot about 45 percent from three his freshman year. He was unconscious his freshman year, but I attribute some of that to having Dee Brown and James Augustine giving him some very good looks every time he had the ball. There's no question that he has an awesome shot. Who knows, maybe Smith could have become Illinois' best player. But I still think that McCamey has a higher ceiling than Jamar does.

  12. I assume you mean Roy. And yes, if we can't get any of the freshman phenoms (which is unlikely anyway), I really hope we can find a way to get Hibbert.
  13. Drake defeates Northern Iowa to wrap up the MVC Regular Season crown. Illinois State and Creighton both lost, so if SIU can defeat Wichita State on the road tonight, we'll only be 1 game behind ISU for 2nd in the Valley and we'll be a game up on 4th place. Please, for the love of God, win a roadie tonight
  14. Great win for SIU last night over Drake. I still believe we are the most talented team in the conference. Can't wait until the conference tourney.
  15. I'm pretty sure the guy's washed up now.
  16. They can win the damn big ten and the BTT and I won't call them the best team in the conference. Who is though? I really can't look at one Big 10 team and say that they're the best team in the conference. Purdue, MSU, and Indiana all have some pretty serious faults. They're decent teams, but I don't think the Big 10 has one great/elite team. Save this for tournament time because I'm sure one of those three will prove me wrong.
  17. Heh, you hit the nail on the head. This team is built for an up-tempo style and yet we run this traditional halfcourt crap that really doesn't do us any good. As for that Wallace-Kirilenko deal, I'd do that deal. I'd rather just give Wallace away for crap to free up cap room in the offseason, but Paxson's not going to go for that. I doubt Paxson's going to do anything anyway.
  18. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. That's the Blackhawks for you. You're welcome.
  19. Clemson's an awful FT shooting team, but they are getting outshot 4:1 at the FT line. Disgusting. And SIU continues to suck on the road. It's becoming humorous now.
  20. SIU-Creighton at 6 on ESPNU. No idea why or how this game managed to find itself on an ESPN station. I'm 99.9% sure we're going to lose this game.
  21. Man, are the Raiders and Falcons that poorly run that you are leaving them out of the discussion? FYI, there are 32 NFL teams. I have baseball on my mind ](*,)
  22. For the other 31 teams, here's the thread to list what's going on with your team and around the rest of the league. McCarthy said that Favre will probably make his decision on coming back sometime next week.
  23. Crayton just got a big payday to stay in Dallas for the next 5 years. I do agree with you that a RB should not be a high priority for the Bears. Benson got a ton of flack this year, but give him a season with a revamped offensive line and see how he does then. I don't think it's fair to him to judge him on one season where he played behind, arguably, the worst line in the NFL. Grossman needs to be given another chance as well.
  24. Not going to scream, I agree to a point. They are 4-0 against UI, SIU, and Ill St though. So it looks silly for fans of those teams to contantly say how bad IU is. Why? I know SIU isn't that good this year. Illinois is terrible. But I have been very unimpressed with Indiana every time I watch them. It's not just Sampson. A lot of players on Indiana don't have great basketball IQ. To dumb down to Illinois' level is pretty sad.
