  1. How does this make Paxon any better as a GM? All he is doing is trading trash for trash. Trash that he signed. As I said the only positive is that Noah, and TT should get more playing time. Noah getting more playing time is a positive? Are you serious? Noah is garbage He's been pretty damn efficient in the amount of time that he's seen this year. I still really don't care for the guy based on his days at UF, but he's been one of the few bright spots for us this year.

Drew Gooden really isn't trash. Isn't he going to take minutes away from the two young guys though? At least he still doesn't have that patch of hair on the back of his head. He'll probably take minutes away from Tyrus, but at least Gooden is a big guy that can get his points. This deal really frees up Noah to get a ton of PT.

  4. larry hughes is shooting about 38% from the field this year I'm not a big Hughes fan, but he has been playing well lately (and actually shooting above 40% from the field). I think the most important thing to come out of this is that we would no longer have Ben Wallace.
  5. Rumored deal has us getting BOTH Gooden and Hughes, as well as Cedric Simmons. Wow, this would be absolutely amazing.
  6. I love moving Wallace, but hate adding Gooden. Didn't he just sign a big deal? Its over after next season. Ok, that isn't as bad then. So what does that mean with reguards to the Bulls backcourt? Is this deal setting up another one? I would think one of Hinrich of Gordon would be on the way out now. Duhon would be shipped out. If we trade Gordon, I'm going to hurl.
  7. Larry Hughes to the Bulls for Wallace and Duhon is what is currently in the works. Not too big on Hughes, but anything to get rid of Wallace is fine by me.
  8. Packers' franchise Corey Williams and cut Bubba Franks. Williams said he wouldn't care if he was franchised, so it looks like it's a good move for both ends. Releasing Franks isn't too big of a surprise, but now that leaves us with only one NFL legitimate TE. I hope we get in on the Crumpler sweepstakes.
  9. Ouch :( I was right there with you Flames, feels like getting kicked in the newts, don't it? Sure does. But right now, we're playing the best basketball in the conference with maybe the exception being Bradley. I still really like our chances in the conference tournament. I will not let myself get too high on this team, color me skeptical. Bone and Clemmon's production is just not consistent enough from the two spot for me to be happy with this team. It would be an amazing triumph to win the conference tourney with the way this season has gone. Oh, no question. I'm not sold on this team by any stretch of the imagination. But look around the rest of the Valley and you have to be somewhat optimistic that we'll have a good chance at pulling out the conference tournament in a couple of weeks. Drake's lost 2 of their last 3. ISU lost on Saturday and nearly lost to Evansville tonight. And Creighton has been even more inconsistant than we have in conference play. With Ruffin back, Bradley is definitely a dangerous team and I expect them to roll all over us on Tuesday. Like us, they always finish the season strong. I'm really excited to see how much Mullins has grown this season. He's been an amazing positive for us in a season filled with negatives. And Tyrone Green has finally found his role on the team and has played exceptionally well the last week to two weeks. Hell, he's even 2/2 from three point land in the last three games.

  11. Another solid W for SIU tonight as we win 67-47 over Northern Iowa. 3 wins in a row and 7 of the last 10. It appears we're playing our best when it matters the most. Unfortunately, ISU came back to beat Evansville 49-47 to maintain 2nd place in the MVC. Still a game ahead of Bradley and Creighton, though.
  12. Ouch :(
  13. Being outshot by close to a 2 to 1 margin is also never a good thing.
  14. Drake won't win it. If you look at their conference results, they have flirted with danger all year long. I really don't think they're that much better than us, if at all. Bradley and ISU have shown that they can compete with them as well. I think you can include Creighton in that list as well. Yeah, the MVC is down this year. But I think this is going to be the most wide open conference tournament that the conference has had in ages.
  15. Yeah...ugh. Puts Bradley only one game behind us now, plus they play us at Bradley next Tuesday. They're going to win that game, so we have to count on Creighton being able to beat Bradley to end the regular season.
  16. Well...it's DePaul and USF. Just look who's coaching those teams and you'll see why they can't win close games.
  17. No Brent, most of the general public doesn't want to see Sampson on the sideline on Saturday.
  18. yeah, where's the beef? up and to the left. meh, my wife just had a baby. i have access to boobs like that. I think you need to see her in person to appreciate how beautiful she really is. Well some of us see hot chicks in person more than once a year. Who's this directed at? Omar?
  19. Series moved to Tennessee due to threats of inclement weather. Ugh.

  21. Take that back.
  22. Yeah, Roberts is on the preseason All-MVC team as well. Are you going to be here for all three days this weekend?
  23. I tend to agree with them, JA better have something juicy cooking. Yeah, but Marty Booker is garbage.
  24. When are you going to be down here? We're picked to finish 2nd in the MVC this year, behind WSU (of course). Catcher Mark Kelly is among the top 10 catchers in the nation according to rivals.com and Junior RHP Cody Adams has had his share of preseason accolades as well. I just hope it turns out well for us this year because we've disappointed the last few years after getting good publicity from numerous college baseball publications.
  25. If the Mavericks don't win it all this year or next year, this is going to end up to be a terrible deal for them. Harris is quickly becoming one of the better PG's in the league.
