  1. Yeah. I am sure he will do well with whatever he chooses to do. I feel for the kid, he was an NBA player, but injuries sapped a lot of that from him. Injuries don't have anything to do with intelligence, though. He was easily one of the most frustrating players I've ever witnessed. That being said, I'm glad he didn't get booed. That would've been the definition of classless. 12:30 on a Friday afternoon and I've never been more interested in a Drake-Indiana State game. God I love March.
  2. Don't you think that's a bit steep? It's not like the guy was a shut-down CB even before he got involved in those fiascos.
  3. I don't know what to think. I love him for what he did for KU, but he just doesn't look that good up in the NBA. Because he's not. I really like what I see from a Gordon-Hughes backcourt.
  4. I'm interested in seeing how Missouri State plays tonight against Evansville. If they completely blow them out of the water, I think they're going to give ISU everything they can handle tomorrow night. Their coach is rumored to be canned after MSU loses in the tournament, so it should be interesting to see how the team performs tonight. And like that article states, it's a joke that Emmenecker won MVC POY over Josh Young and perhaps Klayton Korver. I definitely don't see the logic in that.
  5. Mike Patrick's the definition of the word "tool."
  6. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/825531,CST-SPT-cubnt05.article :banghead: The only thing more laughable than this whole ordeal is that people are actually falling for this garbage over and over again.
  7. I bet you're happy. The Bears can't be his personal bitch anymore. except the part where he went 0-2 against them last year. How did the Bears do last season? You hang your hat on that 2-0 record in a "rivalry game" that none of the players really care about. Spoken like a Packer fan. The Packers fans that I know, hunged on their victory over the Bears on New Yr's Eve, like it was a million dollar's. With the hope of finishing up 2006 with 4 game winning streak, and a defeat of their rivals to finish the season. To which lead to their very good season this yr. To downplay, the Bears whooping of the Packers this yr is a disservice to the rivarly. I guess. Last year, we won those 3 games before the Bears game, but none of them were extremely impressive wins. Then we come out and we outplay the Bears extremely well in a game that Lovie said that he wasn't going to rest the starters and that they were going to do everything they could do to win. With a young and improving defense, it did give Packers fans some optimism for 2007. Now do I believe that was the reason why we played so well last year? No. The defense did its job, but the offense more than surpassed preseason expectations. I didn't care so much that the game was against the Bears, but more so it was a good opponent to gauge just how well we've improved over the course of the season. And professional rivalries are a joke. Do I hate the Bears? Sure I do. But am I going to make it a point to single those two games out of the year from the other 14? Hell no. They're just as important as the other 14 and nothing more.
  8. Only 4 points out of 8th after that big win at Minnesota. We're still alive.
  9. This is a joke. Ohio State's going to make the tournament because they beat a Purdue team that isn't that great. Boy the Big 10 blows this year.
  10. Not sure why you're counting the loss at Vandy against them. Losses at Houston, and against UAB are easily worse than that. Vandy's a tourney team. It's not just that they lost to Vandy, but in the fashion that they lost to them.
  11. I bet you're happy. The Bears can't be his personal bitch anymore. except the part where he went 0-2 against them last year. How did the Bears do last season? You hang your hat on that 2-0 record in a "rivalry game" that none of the players really care about.
  12. I wouldn't. Come to Green Bay, Randy.
  13. I certainly heard he was one of the primary complainers. That I can believe. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Gordon and Duhon couldn't stand him either. Gordon, I'd agree with. But Duhon? He was Skiles' guy. I don't remember Skiles ever criticizing the guy.
  14. Another 2nd half blown lead. This time we blew an 8 point lead with 8 minutes left. Boylan makes Skiles look like a genious. My interest in the Bulls is shot this year. I do like watching Hughes, but I'm sick and tired of everything else on this team.
  15. Javon Walker and T.O. on the same team. lol.
  16. Well our bubble is burst. Very ugly game. We couldn't do anything against ISU's zone. Quarterfinal game against UNI on Friday before likely playing ISU again on Saturday. Ugh.
  17. And Seton Hall goes down to St. John's :D
  18. Mississippi State beats Florida and Minnesota is about to beat Ohio State. Missouri blows it against Baylor in the final 8 minutes or so. Oh well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad. Vanderbilt about to go down to Arkansas too. Ugh.
  19. yesyesyes Florida, tOSU, and Baylor are all losing.
  20. He was always there. Guy had potential, but he'd follow an amazing night by going 1/8 in 6 minutes the next night. I loved the guy, though.
  21. They still can't play defense.
  22. I hope you are wrong on the second part. Wisky went in and won at Texas, who might end up with a 1. They also swept IU. Just because they don't have any names, doesn't mean they aren't very good. If they win out they should be a 2. Wisconsin is the best of the lot, but the Big Ten is way down this year, non-conference RPI worse than the MVC, and there's been no "clear" best team. If Wisconsin had gone, say, 17-1 or 18-0 in the Big Ten, a 2 would have been a possibility, but the flaws in the other BT tourney teams (Indiana beat down by UConn, Purdue's bad early losses, Michigan State looking awful in conference) are going to end up reflecting on the quality of Wisconsin's team, IMO. If I had to seed 1-4 today, I'd probably go 1. Memphis, North Carolina, UCLA, Tennessee 2. Texas, Kansas, Louisville, Duke 3. Georgetown, Vandy, Xavier, Stanford 4. Connecticut, Wisconsin, Drake, Pick an Indiana Team/Marquette I personally am suprised that Butler isn't getting more love than they are. You are probably right about the Big Ten being down hurting Wisky, but I still think they will be a very tough out. I know Drake just beat Butler, but they're playing themselves out of a 4 seed...possibly even a 5 seed. Since they lost to us, they're 2-3 in their last 5 games including a home loss to Bradley and a road loss to Missouri State. Not a particularly good time to be playing inconsistantly. Really though aren't the law of averages catching up to them? They have played way over their heads all year long and finally are losing some of the close games? More than anything, I think it's a lack of an option off the bench. They have a great starting 5, but that's literally it. When they played us, I think they had 9 guys play, but only 7 guys received playing time of more than 4 minutes and only 5 guys played more than 8-9 minutes. They've flirted with danger all year long, so it's not really a surprise to see them losing some games right now. Depending on how the draw goes, I could see them really struggling against the 8/9 seed on Quarterfinal Friday. For our sake, I hope they make the conference title game, but I don't really see it happening.
  23. Latest Bracketology: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology Moved up from the last team on the "Next Four Out" column to the last team on the "Last Four Out" column. With a win over ISU tomorrow night and some help, we could crack Lunardi's bracket on Monday. Unreal.
