  1. They might have to win out to get that. Memphis UCLA Tenn UNC Duke Kansas Texas I think the last one comes down to them or Georgetown. Even then that is assuming Wisky or IU doesn't win out. Where's Xavier? I like them, but cannot see the committee giving a mid major higher than a 3 seed. Think back to the year that Gonzaga was ranked in the top ten, yet got a 4 seed. Seeing how they beat Indiana pretty easily at a neutral court, I really can't see Indiana getting a seed over them. Wisconsin did have that big OOC win against Texas, but they have a lower RPI and SOS than Xavier does. I like what Louisville has done recently, especially now that they're healthy. They are an extremely dangerous team. 8-4 against the top 50 is also very good. But Xavier is 6-1 against the top 50 and they really don't have any bad losses (0 losses outside of the top 80). As long as they don't falter down the stretch, they deserve a 2 seed. Again I am not arguing that they don't deserve a 2 seed, I am arguing they won't get one. It's going to be a crying shame if they don't get a 2 seed.

  4. Good news Browns fans! You now have no reason to watch the first day of the draft. Yeah, no first day selections for them. Ouch. Still, I think it's a good move for both teams. Williams didn't figure into the long-term plans here and was probably going to hit the open market next year anyway. To get a 2nd round pick for him is good for us. Plus it also gives the Browns a proven DT, and definitely helps improve their pass rush.
  5. Once again, I hope you guys put a beatdown on 'Zona. Everything went right for the bubble watch tonight. Saint Joe's lost, Arizona lost, Arizona St. lost, and Cal lost =D> I think Arizona will be in - they should beat the Oregon schools and have the #1 RPI. You mean #1 SOS. Yeah, they probably will be in, but they're certainly making it interesting for themselves.

  7. Michigan State is one extremly overrated team. The selection committee better not make the same mistake that the pollsters are making. USC leads Arizona by 7 with under 3 to play :) Also, go UCLA and Wazzu tonight.
  8. Packers are rumored to trade Corey Williams to an unspecified team (please be Miami) for a 2nd round draft pick as soon as the FA period starts. Management sounds real high on Johnny Jolly, Justin Harrell, and Colin Cole to fight it out for the other DT spot if we go ahead and do this.
  9. Yeah, I'll do it again.
  10. I know it's only been a few games, but I really like what a Gordon-Hughes backcourt would bring to us. I think it's pretty obvious that Hinrich is the guy that is falling out of favor, and for good reason too. Thabo's still getting good minutes as well, which was my main concern about this deal.
  11. Please fire Wainwright, DePaul. This is abysmal.
  12. Huge win over Bradley tonight as we just wore them down late in the 2nd half. And hey, that's back to back road wins for us! 5 wins in a row, and it sets us up for a showdown against ISU on Saturday night at the Arena for 2nd place in the Valley.
  13. Like I've been harping on, I hope this guy falls to us. Several mocks had us getting Rodgers-Cromartie, but I doubt he's going that low after his extremely impressive combine results.
  14. You guys should have no problem with Bradley since Ruffin is fresh out of jail on bail, and not playing. Yeah, we dismantled them with ease at home earlier this year when Ruffin was hurt. Problem is, road games have been a huge struggle for us this year, so I'm reluctant to call anything easy. If he's not suspended for the rest of the year, Jim Les needs to be fired on the spot.
  15. Lunardi now has us as part of his "Next Four Out" and several other sites have us right outside the tournament right now. If we can win at Bradley tomorrow and against Illinois State on Saturday, combined with at least two wins in the MVC tournament, we still might be able to get an at-large berth. That would put us at 20-13 with a SOS in the top 10 and an RPI that would probably be in the top 30 by Selection Sunday. Sure wish we had some of those tough losses back right about now..
  16. Yep. The MVC really did its part today in the TV games with Drake winning that game, Creighton beating Oral Roberts at ORU, and SIU beating Nevada by 25. Very good day for the conference. And as for us, four wins in a row and we looked awesome today against a decent Nevada team. Very impressed by the way we played today. Now our true test is going to come on Tuesday when we travel to Bradley for a huge late-season matchup in conference play.
  17. I'm a bit biased, but I don't care. They should have done something to honor NIU.

  19. yeah but everyone assumes that some of those guys are going to be moving elsewhere. it's very possible that they all stay in the place they were drafted, then you're up crap creek without a paddle because you've shed a lot of salary and there's nobody out there to sign. Yeah, well the Bulls know nothing about this strategy ever failing. ... Yeah, the plan of "save as much money for the big free agent year, and then land a Tracy McGrady" worked marvelously back in...what was it, 2001? Yeah, I believe that was 2001. Duncan and Grant Hill were also out there. And who do we end up with? Ron Mercer.
  20. Why? He'll still get his fair share of minutes. I think he means Trans Tiger the Cavs fan. Ah...yeah, that would make sense. I think they easily won the Seattle side of that deal though.
  21. Wow, what am I missing? His numbers don't look that great though I did like him when he turned pro. He hasn't got the minutes, though coming to Chicago won't change that up..... Maybe if we traded Duhon as well, he would of had some minutes to show off what he can do. It's going to be tough for him to crack a guard rotation with Hinrich, Gordon, Thabo, and Duhon all in front of him. Thabo really does come out on the bad end of this.
  22. Why? He'll still get his fair share of minutes.
  23. So now its Shannon Brown, Simmons, Hughes, and Gooden for Wallace and Smith? Griffin is being shipped out to Seattle as well.
  24. Duhon is staying put, apparently. Bulls get Shannon Brown and they give Cleveland a 2nd round pick instead.
  25. How does this make Paxon any better as a GM? All he is doing is trading trash for trash. Trash that he signed. As I said the only positive is that Noah, and TT should get more playing time. Noah getting more playing time is a positive? Are you serious? Noah is garbage Actually, he has one of the highest Rookie PER's this year. THE FUTURE MVP What's the point of that post? Several people have already pointed out that Noah has been a pretty good players this year in limited time. He needs 30 minutes a game to develop this year. i hope he's as good as you all think he is, but I just don't see him growing into anything than a bench player Again, he's been about as good as anyone could have possibly thought this year. He still needs to add some muscle, but I believe that he can become a pretty good center in this league.
